In a ground floor apartment of this magnificent Scottish baronial style former mansion house, there is a newly decorated private bedroom available. Once used as a school, the house dates back to the 17th century and holds much historical interest. Situated in close proximity to the banks of the River Forth, the building is surrounded by woodland and extensive private landscape gardens. The historic village of Culross, now a famous filming location of the series "Outlander" is near by.

The space
The stunning former mansion house is accessed via a sweeping tree lined private driveway. Entrance to the property is via a grand pillared doorway with an attractive hallway and original terrazzo tiling. The building has been lovingly restored and the accommodation is spacious, stylish and well appointed. The bedroom has been freshly decorated with good quality furnishings and linens.
Fibre-optic broadband ensures high speed internet.

Surrounding the property are truly magnificent woodland and private gardens. They are well maintained and are to be used for the enjoyment of residents and guests.

Torryburn is a charming small coastal village in South Western Fife and a short journey from the nearby villages of Culross, Charlestown and Limekilns.
The "Pilgrims Way" walk is a long distance footpath from Culross to St Andrews. This walk stretches along the beautiful coastal path which is a short stroll from the apartment.

Torryburn has regular public transport (bus) or is a short 15 minute drive away to the main City Centre of Dunfermline, which provides a larger selection of amenities and transport links.

Once the capital of Scotland, Dunfermline is steeped in history.
Dunfermline Abbey is the final resting place of King Robert the Bruce and is also the burial site of 11 other Scottish kings and queens. You can also step back in time in the Royal Palace, and St Margaret's Cave. World famous philanthropist Andrew Carnegie was born in Dunfermline. Discover the story of his life at the Carnegie Birthplace Museum and visit the beautiful Pittencrieff Park which he bought for the people of the town.

The city of Edinburgh can be reached by car in around 40 minutes.
