The house is wonderfully located within walking distance to all of Cambridge's main attractions. Situated in the heart of the Kite district of Cambridge, with shops, cafes, coffee shops, pubs and restaurants all steps away. If you wish to explore the centre of Cambridge it is only an 800m walk away, with a choice of shops in the Grand Arcade and a daily open market. The city centre also offers a large range of places to eat and drink, catering for all tastes and budgets.
The historic city of Cambridge offers a wide variety of interesting activities. You can take a punt along the Cam to view the historic ‘Backs’ of the famous colleges or hire your own one to self-punt towards Grantchester. You could however visit Grantchester by walking or cycling, and stop for tea in the historic garden of the Tea Rooms.
There are many open spaces to explore in a short walking distance from the house. Parkers Piece, Midsummer Common and Jesus Green are all very close with many events being held throughout the year. The river Cam is also close for walking along or just for watching the rowers practicing their skills.
Do not miss out on the many cultural attractions on offer in Cambridge. There is plenty to choose from, the city theatres, live events at the venues of The Corn Exchange and The Junction, to visiting the Botanic Gardens, excellent free University museums, including the famous Fitzwilliam museum, all situated in walking distance from the house.
