Around the bend, down the path and up the old brick staircase tucked into a back corner of the property and its fledgling English garden is the carriage house.

Expect the incomplete, the unexpected and the kooky.
Breakfast included if daily, it's in the fridge so help yourself!

The space

This huge single room cottage comes with a private full bath complete with clawfoot tub!

We pride ourselves on our hospitality so expect a wonderfully comfortable queen bed, crisp air dried linen, a toasty electric blanket, feather pillows, eclectic original artwork and crystal chandeliers hanging from the twenty foot exposed ceiling.

If you are not a week or month guest, breakfast is always a treat and is a continental breakfast on weekdays and a full European breakfast on weekends. We want you to linger and savor your breakfast so it's served on the old brick patio, which we dote on, unless you'd prefer otherwise or it's raining. Breakfast in bed is a weekend option!

A small refrigerator, electric kettle, expresso machine, toaster oven, a kitchen aid stove and crockpot are included for your convenience.

Breakfast is not included with a weekly or monthly stay as we couldn't do it justice! We leave the making of a great breakfast in the fridge. Help yourself!

We are relaxed as a household and hold hospitality in high regard.

We expect to like you and to make you feel welcomed. We want you to leave as a family friend; we hope you come expecting to like us and to make new friends - even if you come to get away!

We'd be mortified if you left unhappy!

Willing to give you privacy or include you in family goings on!

We are a close knit community and it's not unusual to see a dinner for fifteen to just materialize! If you're here, you'd be included with pleasure.

Know that you're walking into a happy piece of bedlam!

Our home overlooks the Napa River and its wonderful wetland.

River Park is across the street and its lovely jogging paths are stunning early in the morning or at sunset.

The Vallejo ferry to San Francisco is a fifteen minute walk away. It's 55 minutes to San Francisco by ferry; it's a stunning ride and well worth the effort!

River Park and it's celebrated marshlands is just across the street.

Downtown Napa is 14 miles away! Sonoma not much further! We're quite central.

Very charming place, with a lovely outdoor space. Perfect for relaxing after a day touring Napa wine country. The bed was too comfortable, we didn't want to get up!

Quirky yes, but well appointed for all that and fun in its quirkiness. Would consider staying again.

I've stayed at many Airbnbs, but this one was a cut above the rest. The host family is amazing and the cottage is one of a kind. You csn see the lovr and care that they have every where you look. If you are going to Napa, andthe is the place to stay.

Exceeded expectations and more. Couldn't have asked for a better stay - would absolutely make a return visit!

In a nutshell: unless you have been to France, or some tiny town in Europe, you have not stayed in a place this cute. This cottage has full amenities, a comfortable bed, floor to ceilings mirrors, and beautiful decorations. Not to mention the wonderful patio area. All of this was capitalized by how easy it was to deal with Amna! She made sure that everything was looked after, that we were able to check in late, and that my wife was made to feel extra special on her birthday. I can't say enough good things about our stay, and look forward to spreading the news on this little gem of a place. Thank you Amna

Spiders (URL HIDDEN) and my boyfriend got bit 3times..not clean at all.. the kitchen is dirty with web spiders everywhere.. the outside seating is not what it looks like in the picture with no cushions.. I hated it .. its not clean and they promise you breakfast but you get nothing.. and told us will give us $20 refund and that never happened. That was the worst thing ever.. I don't recommend this place at all..

Amna's place was perfect! The cottage was secluded at the back of the property, and it was adorable, spacious and clean. We instantly felt welcomed into the household with friendly dogs, tea, coffee and a bottle of wine waiting for us. In the morning we were greeted with an amazing breakfast, and the whole family really went the extra mile to make for a perfect stay. The ferry terminal is only a short walk taking you directly into San Francisco. Hands down the best Airbnb experience we've ever had. I wouldn't hesitate to book again.

So here's the rub. We started as fifteen year old girls twins. We are now seventeen!!. Amna does the cooking and Ayse does the cleaning and laundry. We both make the bed!

All the money raised goes to our extra curicular activies like horseback riding, ice skating, waterpolo and school trips. Once in a while we can argue our mother and father into a treat or two.

Why did our mother agree to this?

First our mother comes from a huge family (52 first cousins) and she thinks that the more people you love the happier you are. Airbnb gives us the chance to spend more time liking or loving people.

Mom thinks that hospitality and kindness is IT and that welcoming people, being hospitable and generous is a skill a young adult need to practice and practice often.

Then, there's the money aspect. Our mother truly believes that money is hard to earn and easy to spend; she wants us to equate school trips to four breakfasts and five laundry loads. Apparently that equation is supposed to be helpful as we get older. Then she wants us to learn to give more than we get, that it's important to go the extra mile. Apparently our grandfather is fond of saying 'never let an employer have to justify your salary'.

Finally, the reviews are an added bonus according to our mother. Its usually a relaxed family meeting, on our way to dinner or to our grandparents ... and our mother reads it out to us. The interesting thing is that it has taught us that appearances may be deceiving, that some are shy with their feelings and that its important to always assume the best.

Our example here was a guest that we thought was so-so about our breakfast (which we are very proud of) but when the review came in it was wonderful. The guest was just reserved in person.

Why did our father agree?

Frankly he was horrified at first. He comes from a large family too and he likes our house when its full of neighbors and friends, but he didn't think that 'strangers' would be fun. He's traveled alot in his life and we think that's what made him agree, the promise of meeting travelers.

suffice it to say, he loves meeting guests. In a way he travels more now!

All in all, our family has tons more friends - now more than ever. We have invitations to India, Korea, France, Canada, Mississippi ... the world!

Thank you for sharing our space, you're really a gift in many, many, many ways. Thank you!
