Where you’ll be

San José, Costa Rica

The place is located in the heart of the city, just a few blocks away from Parque Morazan and Parque España, and the nice Aurola Holiday Inn Hotel.
San José is a busy latin american city, it gets crowded during the day and at night gets lonely. Although we are a small country every day in San José more then one million people go through the city on transit to work , school or hospitals, many located in the great metropolitan area.
The apartment is located near hotels, restaurants, parks and a five minute walk to all the museums , The Gold Museum, The Jade Museum, andThe National Art Museum .
Like any city that you are getting to know , you should ask for the zones to avoid, you find instructions right here if you read " Getting Around" (Guidebook).
This place is just three blocks away from central avenue where you can find the museums, restaurants and nice shops, it is a nice street walk!... There you can see the beautiful National Theater, on calle 2 and avenida 2 and you will find the Mail Building ,which is beautiful, is just two block away , both land marks are a "most see" in San José. You might want to go take a peak at the Hotel Costa Rica, which is the first hotel built in San Jose in the early 1900's, now it has been fully renovated and it was inaugurated recently . If you walk a bit west on second avenue you will find the Cathedral and Central Park, on the right the beautiful Melico Salazar theater.
You can also find very nice souvenir shops just a couple of blocks away, or if you are more of an adventurer you should not miss the Central Market. The Jade and gold Museums , are a most if you like museums!!... Both within a 5 minute walk.

I am a native Tica!! Born and raised in Costa Rica, in my teen´s my whole family, Mom, Dad and their 9 children moved to Madison, Wisconsin for a period of three years , so we could all learn to speak english, thanks to this beautiful experience I am bilingual. I have always loved to travel, my first time on a plane was when a had just turned seven and ever since I fell in love with the world, I describe my self as a "citizen of the world" and as such we should not miss the opportunity to explore as many places as we can, but always keeping in mind this : " The most important thing when traveling is not the destination but our attitude and openness to live new experiences and perceive and respect all different cultures and beliefs ". We live in a world full of diversity and should respect it as is!! I love trekking and mountaineering, so I have had the experience to see my country as green as it !! ... I have explored the mountains when it gets all muddy and also when it is dry and very hot and wish to arrive soon to the cold waters of our beautiful rivers and splendid waterfalls. Each one of my experiences has been different and breath taking, If you are coming to Costa Rica to explore our mountains and rivers I will be more than happy to talk to you about the beautiful places I have been . Also love the sea and feel very proud to say that we have many of the most beautiful beaches in the world and as a good traveler I have been to many of them. When I was little it took two day to go to Playa Samara, we could only go in 4x4´s because there were many rivers on the way, there was no electricity and we slept in a "rancho de palma" (palm ranch made by the natives). I have been an Airbnb host and also a guest, having both experiences I make all my efforts so that those who choose to stay in one of my apartments will have a nice experience enjoy their stay the fullest and also their journey in San José, the Capital of my country, which has many gastronomic places and cultural events all year round.
