Fabulous location , with peace, quiet and nature on the the doorstep. The snorkelling at the local beach was very good with regular turtle sightings. The house is spacious with masses of outdoor space to watch the sunsets with a glass of something . There is a nice little bar /restaurant next door, which is convenient and not noisy . Really recommend this place for couples and families looking for fun times by the sea ️️

Staying at Miramar 9 was the best decision we made for our trip to Curacao. The Location: You're literally above the beach. And that view...WOW. From the house, you are a 2 minute walk to access the ocean ...or a 5 minute walk to the 'turtle beach/piscado beach' - we saw dozens of turtles! Both beach areas are connected by a 10 minute swim if you enjoy snorkeling along the rocky/coral filled coast. If you want to get a quick meal (burger, fish, etc) - there are a couple good places 2 minutes walk away. There is a AMAZING restaurant up the road (Jainchy's) which I would recommend for lunch - 5 minute drive. Try the iguana! We were very happy to be 45 minutes from Wilemsted & made two day trips. The Place: From start to finish, we loved everything about the place. It was very spacious and the air condition in the bedrooms kept us cool at night and after a day at the beach. There are plenty of fans - but the natural air keeps the main living area very cool. Another bonus was the outside shower that are covered by the many trees on the property. We arrived late and our hostess, helped us by supplying $25 worth of food (ground coffee, eggs, fruit, juice, butter, jelly, bread, etc...). There is a coffee maker available as well as any kitchen utensil you might ever need! Sipping strong coffee on the ocean deck was my zen moment every morning... Six people could comfortably stay here - and there is plenty of room to spread out. We felt very safe & there are locks on (literally) every door in the place and an optional alarm system. The water pressure was strong (especially upstairs) & plenty of hot water - we never ran out with four of us. A bonus sidenote- you can drink the tap water on Curacao! Again, everything about Miramar 9 was perfect. I'm jealous of whoever is staying there this very moment. ENJOY !

We found Miramar to be an excellent base for our holiday on Curacoa. The description matched what we found on arrival, and the host (Lety) made us feel relaxed and welcome instantly. The views from the property over the sea are something you could never tire of, even when it rained ! The property itself is in good condition, and the facilities throughout are functional and comfortable. You got the feeling of security when you left for the day, and I strongly doubt that will feel the need for anything that isn't already provided. The open aspect of the Lounge/dining area means you have a welcome breeze almost constantly, and with practical sized rooms throughout you will never feel confined like you can do in a Hotel. For the 4 of us it worked very well, and we would happily return to Mirimar. Some might find the distance to the City an issue, but as we wanted to explore it proved to be a great location. You also have the benefit of being able to walk to some excellent restaurants and beaches which happen to be located on your doorstep.

I highly suggest visiting the villa at Westpunt. The house has spectacular views and is comfortable and inviting. It's not a place for nightlife. It is a place to enjoy the beauties of nature. Everyday you are there is a feast for your eyes. Go. Experience beauty for yourself.

This view is the best on the island! Although it's rural, that alone is probably worth the drive to the northern part of the island. The pictures are exactly the same as you see from the many patios and balconies! Yes, we swam with the turtles and among the schools of a thousand little fish. Quite a unique experience! Just remember to bring lots of mosquito dope if it's the rainy season!

Villa Miramar is a dream property in a dream location. If you want to get far from the maddening crowds, this is the perfect place to go. Practical tips: First, the drive from the airport is about 35 minutes, so I would suggest stocking up on groceries and sundries in town before you head out to Westpunt, which does not have even a mini mart available. There is a large supermarket just 5 minutes from the airport. When you hit the first roundabout out of the airport (note large inverted U statue in middle) take the second exit right and head straight to Centrum supermarket about a mile down the road on your right. Don't assume that the villa will be stocked with any supplies. Buy/bring salt and pepper, coffee, toilet paper, bug spray, candles, etc. To head towards Westpunt and the villa, retrace your steps back to the roundabout and take the third right out of the circle. Second, note that there are three quality restaurants within walking distance of the villa if you don't feel up to cooking. Third, don't plan any trips to Willemstad on Sundays when most stores are closed. Finally, be aware that brown outs do occur in Curaçao. We lost power for over 2 hours one day. Just sit tight and the power will eventually come back on.

Your first impression when arriving at Miramar is of the beautiful view, and the sound of the water gently lapping into the beach below you. You will never tire of this! Westpunt is the place to go if you are not after nightlife and bars. It is relaxed, local and peaceful- and you can buy your fish from the fishermen as they bring in their catch! The snorkelling from the beach below is spectacular: we regularly saw an eel, many fish, and as you swim a little further around the corner, turtles, although my favourite moments were hanging out with baby cuttlefish. The house is well equipped for self catering, with a generous sized kitchen and everything you need. Mind you, do go and have a meal at Sol Food ( open Fri/Sat:Sun), if only to chat with Sunshine, a bundle of enthusiasm, hospitality and information! Twice a week the house will be most thoroughly cleaned by Poppy, a character to speak with! It is also very secure, so you can feel safe about your belongings. Your hosts are very responsive should you need them, and you can feel very confident in renting from them. Their local representative, Amy, was utterly charming and so helpful. We felt very well supported. We have had a magical time here, and will likely return!
