Rustic private Log Cabin overlooking the rolling hills of the Ozark Mountains on the Little St. Francis River- a short walk from the scenic porch. Enjoy the serenity of nature or sit by the bonfire at night and enjoy a peaceful gaze at the stars. Cozy and well stocked, you'll find this place a home away from home. Bring your fishing poles, hiking boots, swim gear, kayak, a book, or your favorite comfy clothes to just kick back and relax while listening to some old records on the Victrola.

The space
The cabin is well designed with two cozy porches to enjoy your morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. Situated right on the Little St. Francis River, you can stroll down to the dock and throw in a line or just take in the harmony of the sounds around you. The natural exposed shelf rock makes and excellent backdrop for an evening bonfire. The park like setting and manicured yard are the finishing touches to the little piece of heaven on Earth.

All within minutes of 7 State Parks and Conservation areas. With miles of marked hiking trails, natural shut-ins to enjoy a nice swim on a summer day or admire some of nature's grandest beauty along the natural geological rock formations. There is plenty to see and do for an extended stay or weekend get a way.

Location

Fredericktown, Missouri, United States

Fredericktown is a quaint rural town where everyone knows each other by their first name. There are plenty of charming places to grab a bite to eat, indulge in an ice cream, grab a beer at a local bar and grill or pick up your groceries and cook on the BBQ grill provided. Missouri offers many geological formations exposed as "shut-ins" in our streams and rivers. Amidon, Silver Mines, Johnson Shut-Ins are all within a 10-35 minute drive. Millstream Gardens Wildlife park is just a short drive away. Historic Ste. Genevieve and Pilot Knob are both just a short drive away and will provide a days worth of exploring early American history. With plenty of conservation lands, federal public forests and several state parks nearby, you will find an endless number of hiking trails to choose from. Be sure to visit Elephant Rocks State park in Ironton for amazing family pictures! Dont' forget to visit the Mennonite's Home Gardens Community Market for fresh baked goods, produce and homemade items just a few miles south on Old Fredericktown Road
