The space
This cottage is clean, cozy and serenely set on a large lot with easy driveway parking access.
* The kitchen is fully functional and has every modern amenity you may need to cook and eat in.
*The large garden/yard has a grill and *outdoor shower for convenience and *comfortable seating around a chimenea with provided firewood.
*Wifi hook-up is provided.
Smart TV for streaming with your laptop ( no cable)
*Recycle and trash bins are located below the kitchen cabinet. (trash/recycle can be left in outside bins when full -we will take it away; (we strongly encourage everyone to recycle whenever possible!)
*If you opt to use the AC please be sure to close all windows first.
(Please turn the temp up or off if you plan to be out the whole day).
*Shades go up and down by gently pulling or pushing from the base/bottom.
*The bathroom is stocked with clean towels, beach towels, toilet paper, etc...
(Used towels can be left in laundry bin.)
*Washer and air-dry hanging rack available for 1 week rental or more. *(*Please note that there is NO mechanical dryer available)

*Please know that this house is designed and intended for a FOUR PERSON MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY and two car maximum (driveway parking only). If you are looking for a multi-person party house rental -THIS HOUSE IS NOT FOR YOU! (Please understand that if this rule is violated you will be asked to leave immediately).

Some things to do in and around Jamestown:
We recommend our small neighborhood beach (known as Head's Beach) just a few minutes walk directly down Frigate St. *Be advised if driving:
-parking is by permit sticker only; however, walking is quick and easy.
The main town beach at Mackerel Cove is located near town, but again, without a permit you will need to pay $15 to park.
Fort Wetherill and the Beavertail Lighthouse are great places to walk along, picnic, and explore.
Tennis courts are near the town elementary schools along Watson Ave. as is a skate park for skateboarding.
Some popular activities on the island: cycling, kayaking, surfing and paddle boarding -all available rentals in town at: Jamestown Outdoors
The town has a handful of restaurants:
Beech, , Tallulah's Taqueria and more...
The Narragansett Cafe is a fun bar with live music, good atmosphere (pool table) and casual dining/food.
The General's Crossing is a small micro-brewery specializing in hand-crafted beer.
The Marina Cafe -great for ice cream, breakfast and lunch, and is located at the east ferry.
Tallulah's Taqueria -good Mexican tacos and burritos.
All restaurants/bars are located in town center along Narragansett Ave and within a short walking distance from each other and continue along the waterfront at the bottom of Narragansett Ave.
And, of course, beautiful and historical Newport is just a bridge away, with plenty of things to see and do as well as shopping and nightlife galore!

While driving and parking in town are usually easy, bicycles are a hassle-free alternative to getting around our small island and can be rented at Jamestown Outdoors, in town's center. Walking to our local neighborhood beach (Head's Beach) is easy, and very close to our rental (3-5 minute walk to the end of our street). If opting to drive, know that a permit is required to park. The larger in-town beach, Mackerel Cove, also requires permit parking but, once again, can be easily reached by bike or walked to from the center of town. All restaurants are easily accessible on foot once in town.
Other things to note
Please know that we expect guests to respect our home and neighbors as they wish to be respected. No loud parties or gatherings beyond the subscribed four guest maximum is allowed.
