Don't understand up-cycling and art? DON'T STAY HERE!!!! ;)

This is an art project, a place to stay is secondary.

We have been up-cycling materials to build this house and it has not been easy, thus IKEA definitely has a presence :). We also own Nomad Gourmet food truck that can provide a food experience! BOOK a FOOD MINGLE!

The goal, entertain patrons that would like to hike the trail, dine on a gourmet dining experience and stay in an ever evolving art project home!

The space
3 bedroom home, newly renovated space. VERY MUCH an art project thus is not suitable for small children as there are piled rocks and unfinished pieces inside and outside of the house and the backyard is still under construction so access at your own risk! There is old barn-board everywhere (the real stuff, not the fake "Home-Cheapo" brand), piled rocks and potential for the wee ones to explore themselves into an injury so we feel that you need to know this. We have had guests from 3 weeks old to 85 years and everything in between and all have been very happy with the space, but we cannot be responsible for any injuries based on the cray cray design of the ever evolving space!
Trails can be accessed from the backyard that you can follow towards the Bluff Wilderness Area.

Guest access
Entire House
Personalized, in house, catered meals available by the Nomad Gourmet Food Truck based on availability. It is NOT compulsory to order food from the truck, but it is permanently situated in the backyard.

Other things to note
The property is going to be a place that has not only Airbnb stays, but offers a "Hike, Dine and Stay" package in the future, which will include accommodations, but also providing a base from which a hike can be embarked upon right from the backyard, either with a guide or venturing out on your own, to the extremely popular Bluff Trail Wilderness Area, followed by a gourmet meal provided by your host, the Nomad Gourmet! Originally the first food truck in Halifax, the Nomad Gourmet has expanded to include the hospitality industry in a more holistic sense, to be involved in the accommodation and entertainment! It is a local, Nova Scotia experience.

Also, the backyard is accessible but still under construction as a massive art project. Plenty of deck and room to BBQ though!

Timberlea, Nova Scotia, Canada

"Timbo" is awesome! Family friendly, parks, lakes and trails galore. A suburb of Halifax, a quiet neighbourhood close to some backcountry. The house backs onto a greenbelt with a trail that leads directly to St. Margaret's Bay "Rails to Trails", the old railway to Yarmouth which was removed to become a shared use trail. Head down the hill on the street or take a short hike from the back of the house, going parallel to the nearby highway traffic to get to the Rails to Trails. You can access the Bluff Wilderness Trails starting gate not far along the Rails to Trails, which is locally known as the "BLT Trail" (Beechville, Lakeside, Timberlea; a trio of friendly suburbs).
