We came out to the caboose to relax and have a quiet weekend and it did not disappoint. There was plenty to do on the property (firepit + play with our dogs) or extremely nearby (beach + Point Prim), we were never bored. Thanks again Cheryl!

The Blue Caboose was one of our favourite vacation stays ever! There's everything we could ask for (my husband called it "well-appointed," which he's never said before!) and Cheryl thought of every detail. Lots of fun things to do on the neighbouring field (even a pitch-and-putt) and the bed is super-comfortable. Can't wait to come back!

Such a unique and fun place to stay. So cozy and had all the amenities someone needs. Fully equipped caboose with a beautiful bathroom and bedroom. We loved the smell of the fresh pine from the construction of the add-on bedroom and bathroom. Patio furniture was available outside and was very comfortable. She even had kayaks for us to use. She was very attentive and welcoming. When we arrived he had coffee cream, jams, and english muffins for us to enjoy which I felt was an extra special touch. There is air conditioning in the main caboose as well as in the bedroom so it is even perfect for hot summer days.

Thank you Kristal and thanks for being a part of my dream of making the Blue Caboose a relaxing vacation rental. Please come back and visit.

A 5 star experience with a very gracious host. The accommodations were private, quaint, filled with activities and very comfortable. The river and ocean, just a short walk away, was perfect for kayaking.

I have always been in love with trains especially the Boston/Maine. My aunt would travel by bus from PEI to Bangor, Maine. She would then board the B&M train to Boston to pick my sister and I up to go back to PEI for the summer.I grew up just up the road from where the Blue Caboose is located. I purchased the caboose in 2006 and it was on the rails in Tilton, New Hampshire where it went on trips with other cabooses. Go to Youtube to see her in action. Search "Hobo Railroad Tilton crossing 12/7/08. She is the next to the last caboose crossing. There are other Youtube videos under Tilton/Northfield trains. I brought her here in November 2013 because I retired and the caboose trips were becoming more infrequent. The Blue Caboose has an attached bedroom, bath and deck on the back. We added Wifi/Satellite tv, A/C and heat along with a full kitchen in the caboose. We live on the adjoining lot in the woods above the caboose. There is a wooded path between the Caboose and our home if you need assistance. The Caboose has been open since August 2014 and I am in the process of putting more of my favorite train pictures, stories and experience book together. We hope you enjoy our Blue Caboose and the people of Prince Edward Island. Please note that GPS coordinates are not accurate in finding us. The road to the Blue Caboose is in Flat River (not Belle River) right off of the Transcanada Rte 1. Easy to find and about 10 minutes to the Wood Islands ferry to Pictou, NS.
