If you want to get away from it all to an area of outstanding natural beauty, then come and stay in our fully furnished bell tents. Sited separately in their own secluded, peaceful little field located on our working farm. This is a new venture and right from the start our vision was to create a wonderful get away with as low a carbon footprint as possible. Accommodation is off grid apart from mains water. Features include solar powered lights, hot water and cooking are heated by propane gas.

The space
One of only 2 delightful Bell tents, sited in their own small field,. This is Lillian, her field is also home to the bathroom facilities and information pod where you will also find the local produce and dining table and chairs. This field has a more open feel, furthest away from the car park, with established hedge to 3 sides, and a fence to the long side. Lillian is furnished with light pine furniture, solar lights both inside and out give a romantic glow at night with out hiding the starlit sky, The car park is located on the other side of the hedge over a small bridge next to the tents. Just a short walk along the hedge row to the second field, a rice horse trailer provides a quirky yet luxury composting toilet, basin and shower. For your convenience walk ways have been cut into the meadow grass whilst maintaining a natural habitat for the wildlife. Each tent is furnished with a comfortable double bed and for children bed rolls can be provided to keep warm on those chilly nights, hot water bottles are available. The kitchen pods at each tent contain a gas double burner and there is a barbecue provided. We love where we live and we want to share it. Nestled in the view of Clee Hill in the Teme Valley the scenery and wildlife are both diverse and beautiful. We have up cycled items to create the right feel that supports our environmentally friendly ethos. We want our little project to take as little as possible from the Earth’s resources and alongside this, we are a Red Tractor approved farm which endeavours to farm as responsibly as possible.
Bird song will be the background to your stay with often big star lit skies. There is a small wildlife pool in the adjacent field where the dragon fly is a constant visitor. There is an information pod with a Welsh dresser that contains local produce including apple juice, honey and jams. We hope to increase the diversity in time. We also run our own honesty shop with eggs and garden produce for sale. This is located outside of our house. For your convenience you will also find a wildlife book, maps of the local area and a table and chairs for rainy days.

Guest access
Free to wander in the 2 fields and parking area, please keep to public footpaths when away from the glamping fields as you will often find there is stock grazing. We love the area we live in and our farming life, this is an opportunity to share it with you and can arrange to show you around

Other things to note
Some times of year are much busier than others, for both ourselves and our neighbours, we may be lambing or lugging hay and straw, our neighbours may be apple picking, if you feel there may be a farming activity you would rather avoid then were happy to advise when ever possible

Location

Knighton on Teme, England, United Kingdom

Knighton on Teme is a small parish, with walking along single track lanes and footpaths, surrounded by working farms you can't help be in touch with the changing seasons. Near Tenbury Wells (Holly and mistletoe capital of the country !) Ludlow, Leominster and Cleobury Mortimer, there is always something to do and see. There are great pubs nearby and the Ludlow food festival can't be missed, local countryside shows in the summer include the Tenbury show on the 1st Saturday in August and Burwarton Show on the 1st Thursday in August.
