Where you’ll be

Creston, British Columbia, Canada

Creston is on the Selkirk Loop - a drive through the East Kootenays from north Idaho through the valley and across Kootenay Lake to Nelson and Castlegar, then over the Kootenay Pass, a very scenic drive, back to Creston. Our valley is a prime agricultural area with field crops, livestock, fruit and grape growing, there are currently three operating wineries, a large number of fruit and veggie stands, a large Saturday Farmer's Market, the West Creston Wildlife Preservation area, local Museum, many interesting local shops and galleries. Visitors can also tour a local dairy which makes prize winning cheese as well as the Kootenay Brewery. we have great scenery our weather is very comfortable all year round, many visitors enjoy canoing and kayaking on Kootenay Lake or making use of numerous hiking trails in the area. We are a short drive to Crawford Bay artisan village which is just before the ferry terminal across the lake.

During your stay

We like meeting new people and will be happy to share as much as you wish about our gorgeous neighborhood. We would also arrange introductory courses related to photography or lapidary on request at a modest cost. Enjoy tasting in our private orchard, U-pick OK in season for registered guests only.
