Kerrisdale is one of Vancouver's most exclusive neighbourhoods and only minutes away from everything that a visitor would like to experience in this beautiful city by the sea and mountains. Our home is a short walk to unique shopping, restaurants, cafe's, markets, pharmacies, banks, and a wide variety of retail services. A 10 minute drive or a 20 minute bus ride takes you to the Downtown, Robson Street, Yaletown, Gastown, Chinatown and an extra 5 minutes to Stanley Park.

The space
We are less than a 10 minute drive to Vancouver's best beaches in Kitsilano, Locarno and Spanish Banks and are on the city's bicycle route and access to mountain bike trails . We're also only 15 minutes from the Vancouver International Airport, 35 minutes to the US/Canada border and 2.0 hours south to Seattle and 2.0 hours north to Whistler .Our home is on a double lot, private and fenced. We have a 700sf cedar deck and our backyard also has a basketball court , fruit trees and massive old growth cedar trees . We have Free High-Speed Wireless Internet service and HD multi-channel cable service.

The following are suggestions for a more diverse Vancouver experience :
Our neighbourhood, Kerrisdale and nearby Kitsilano/Downtown:
• Best Pizza – Bufala, just 2 blocks from house on West Blvd, outstanding thin crust pizzas with
incredibly fresh and interesting ingredients, good craft beer on tap and decent wine list.
Meatball appetizer is killer.
• Sushi/Japanese – 11 sushi restaurants within walking distance of house, all good, but Sihota’s
stands above all
• Fish&Co. – hole in the wall on 41st, but awesome fish and chips and Finest At Sea on Arbutus at
32nd., amazing clam chowder, seafood wraps and a crazy delicious seafood deli;
• Neighbourhood Italian – Le Buca, on Macdonald St. Near 24th Ave. Just 5 mins. from house,
awesome authentic northern Italian food, great Italian wine list, need reservations usually.
Minerva’s for family Italian, connected to Bara, small bar and eatery and best at happy hour.
• Best Italian – Cioppino’s in Yaletown; Autostrada on Pender St
• Formal Dining - #1 is Bishop’s on 4th Ave in Kits, white table cloths, formal service, fantastic food
$$$$
• Canada Top 5 Restaurants – Annalena’s on 1st Ave. near Burrard in Kits, voted best new
restaurant in Canada in 2015, need reservations, great west coast menu, ingredients are locally
sourced
• Best Breakfeast – Sophie’s at Arbutus and 4th. Ave., old fashioned soda fountain joint, huge
portions, licensed to serve beer and alcohol.
• Best Lunch – Meat and Bread at Cambie and Pender downtown, amazing sandwiches made to
order, soups and local craft beers.
• Best Seafood - #1 Coast on Alberni Street; #2 Joe Forte’s on Thurlow Street ; #3 Blue Water
Cafe’(Yaletown) + a raucous spots is Rodney’s Oyster Bar on Mainland,

Activities:
• Safe everywhere for everyone, our homeless people are harmless and sometimes pretty funny
• If feeling energetic a bike ride or run around Stanley Park (bike rentals at Denman and Georgia
Streets just before entrance to Stanley Park), approximately 10kms.
• Continuation of above on Seawall all the way past Downtown, Gastown, Olympic Village,
Chinatown out to beaches in Kitsilano, Locarno, Spanish Banks Wreck (clothing optional), UBC
and ends up back in Kerrisdale right by our home
• Gastown and Yaletown filled with tourist shops , restaurants etc. kind of like San Francisco
waterfront, Yaletown much more upscale
• Chinatown is bustling and has multiple markets and restaurants
• Grouse Grind hike/run up Grouse Mountain in North Vancouver (top of Capilano Rd )
• Lighthouse Park at Horseshoe Bay , cliff diving into ocean without permission(right near the
Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal about 20mins further NW on Hwy 99 from Grouse Mtn.)
• Boat rentals at Granville Island (motorized). We have rented a runabout power boat many times
when we have had friends or family visit for first time, tour of Westside beaches, Downtown
from the water and West Vancouver waterfront (most expensive homes and estates in city),
need 2 hours minimum. Safe and really fun time.
• Beaches- Kitsilano, Locarno, Spanish Banks and Wreck beaches just 10 mins. from house, lots of
parking, straight down Arbutus to Kits Beach, little further west on 4th Avenue to Locarno and
Spanish Banks (washrooms all along the walk), Kits for bikinis and bodybuilders, Spanish Banks
for Volleyball, Wreck Beach for clothing optional sun worshippers
• Shopping – Robson Street downtown, every major store on the planet, Aritzia and Lululemon
the famous Canadian stores. 4th Avenue from Burrard to Vine is trendy and youthful
Day trips:
• Ferry to Victoria, takes 2.5 hours each way including drive to terminal (go Tsawassen Ferry
terminal, make a reservation, only $18Cdn reservation fee but worth it + ferry fees, approx $100
for car and driver) or Harbour Air float plane (20 mins.), $70 each way if booked on-line.
Downtown is like being in England, must have High Tea at the Empress Hotel and a drink in the
Tiger Room Lounge in Empress. Lots of tourist things to do, all walking or strolling in the harbor.
Van Dusen Botanical Gardens gorgeous (on way to or from Shwartz Bay ferry)
• Whistler, about 2 hours from house across Lion’s Gate Bridge and north on Hwy 99, Native
Cultural Centre in Squamish on route and Shannon Falls (spectacular waterfall just off Hwy).
Whistler has lots to do and really good restaurants (Eco-Zipline and Peak to Peak Chairlift worth
every $), extreme downhill mountain biking and 100’s of kms. of hiking/biking trails from
moderate to extreme
Hope this helps make your stay more enjoyable, have fun !!!
