About this listing

This spacious 19th Century home, located on the banks of the Susquehanna River, is only minutes away from Binghamton University. Also close to SUNY Broome and Davis College. Country atmosphere in the heart of the metropolitan Tri-cities area.

The space

We call this room the Eldridge named after the first owner of the property; we went for a contemporary look for the attached private bath and clean country lines in the bedroom. Very comfortable queen size bed provided with luxurious bed linens and down pillows. Down free pillows and comforters are available on request. There is now a small refrigerator for your use in this room.
Guests have access to their own private balcony. This room is located on the second floor and stairs are required to access the space.

Guest access

Our common area is open for coffee, a nice variety of teas, pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt, juice and on occasion locally made granola. We use a Keurig coffee machine with a good selection of different roasts and coffee varieties.
We have an acre of land and are currently restoring the garden; please feel free to stroll and explore.

Interaction with guests

We are very social but have busy schedules with work and our current projects around the house. Always open to a glass of wine with savories if we are free.

Other things to note

We have a very friendly dog here in the house; her name is Mila and she loves lots of attention. That being said, we are of course open to other pet guests. Mila is great with other dogs and loves to play. We will be glad to recommend any of the myriad of dog friendly parks located in the Binghamton area.

Our home is located in a very busy travel corridor and there is some ambient noise typical of a small metropolitan area; an occasional ambulance, fire siren and some traffic may pass by. It looks like a country home, but we are in an urban area.

NO SMOKING in the rooms, but please feel free to use the balcony access or the large wrap around porch and deck attached to the house, or simply meander down to the river.

We were in town for an engagement photoshoot and decided to book our first Airbnb! Biago and Kudzai's home is absolutely breathtaking and exceeded our expectations. They treated us like family and even drank a little wine with us on the gazebo. We had such a wonderful time playing with the dogs Mila and Petra too. Our room was so cute and the bed was extremely comfortable. We can't wait to come back and visit again!

The rooms are lovely and large, in a truly beautiful restored home. The gardens, solarium, and deck offer access to gracious outdoors. Coffees and teas, water, fruit, and cookies were available to us, as well as a fridge to keep our "road food"in. The bed was very comfy, with plenty of pillow options, and great bedding. Breakfast with Kudzai was a feast if conversation, coffee, and "continental with options"...several kinds of bread and baffles for toasting, with lots of spread, several granola with topping options, juice, (URL HIDDEN) was gard to tear ourselves away to continue our journey!

This is the second time staying here and won't be our last. It is so comfortable here. So hard getting up in the morning! I'm sorry I didn't see Biagio and Kudzai this time as they were out of town, but their friend Maria made sure I was settled in with everything I needed. Bottom line, stay here... You won't be sorry!
