Enjoy the beauty of Nidderdale and the serenity of the countryside with your family and friends from a spacious and luxurious barn conversion.

The space
The barn is situated within a 100 acre farm which is a working cattle and sheep farm run by the hosts family, who also converted the barn into a dwelling in 2005.
You will be spoilt for choice for footpaths as several cross the farmland including the Nidderdale way. The local village of Dacre is a 10-15minute walk through fields and woodland and boasts The Royal Oak pub which has around 40 varieties of gin and serves delicious pub food, the Dacre village store for all the essentials and now a gin distillery! Whittaker's gin distillery has a cafe and shop and offers guided tours and the best bit is, it's a few fields away from the barn accessible by footpaths directly there!

Guest access
The whole building is for the enjoyment of our guests. There is a garden behind the house which is secure for dogs and guests may usw. We may ask for access at certain times of the year to attend our plants and vegetables and that any dog mess is cleaned up and disposed of. but we want guests to feel at home here and will have access to a BBQ as well.

The barn provides freedom and relaxation which reflects it's rural location. It's the perfect space for those who love the outdoors well as those who love the indoors as its a great place to come back to and warm up in after a day on the hills. It is lovely and peaceful and you'll get a true taste of countryside life. You can walk miles and miles without having to use a road. The kitchen and living area are large and ideal for sharing and enjoying time together.

During your stay
We will be around on the farm should you require any assistance or want to chat. Both myself and partner Gary (who is from New Zealand) have both travelled the world and look forward to interacting with guests who wish to share stories and experiences with us and we are happy to assist with walking route planning or transportation by separate arrangement. However, as friendly as we are, we also enjoy our own company and respect that our guests will also wish for the same. So, interactions can be as little or as much as the guests wish.
