J was great! He took the time to welcome me and walk me through his home showing me where things were. His home was very comfortable and the location is beautiful! Good neighborhood with a short drive to NYC. Would definitely recommend.

All great with J and his place. Booked with very short notice and J went out of his way to accomodate us.

So this was by far the worst trip ever. For one, there is a train that goes by every three hour and blows its whistle from the station. Hence you better not be a light sleeper, otherwise you'll never sleep. You have to move your car before 10am or you will get a ticket. He never…

Response from J:
As a Super Host, I pride myself in a superior guest experience as can be seen from ALL of my reviews. Lovell's account of her stay has elements of delusion, an attempt to extort and is highly inconsistent with ALL of my prior guests experiences. It is clear that this is Lovell's first Airbnb stay and she would do well to better understand the sharing economy movement and gain an appreciation and respect of staying in a private home. First, in a 24 hour period, the train goes by twice not every three hours. This is a quiet well maintained neighborhood with middle income professionals with families. There is an active city council for which I am involved and issues such as a train roaring through the neighborhood would not be tolerated. Her statement is simply untrue. This is a residential neighborhood outside of NYC and parking is at a premium as one would know if they have ever traveled to this area. I have a driveway which provides an alternative to street parking which is a luxury. Lovell left in the morning and came back in the evenings after work hours so it is unclear how she was able to take hot showers throughout the day. There is central heat which she increased to 80 degrees and had access to so it is unclear how she was cold throughout her stay and further why she never brought it to my attention. On one particular evening she came home after midnight and then immediately left and I simply asked if she was coming back in order to secure the house. Again, her account of a curfew is farfetched and simply untrue. The flat tire story is the pinnacle of her delusion as unbenownst to Lovell, there are outside cameras. Instead of someone flattening her tires, she actually got in her car and drove away. She left the house one day prior to her check-out date and upon discovering she was gone, I inquired if she had checked out early. Again, this is a private home and as a Super Host I pride myself on ensuring the safety and comfort of my guests. If one of my guests leaves early without notifying me, first I'm concerned for the guest and second I'm concerned about my home. Lovell's claim about who she suspects flattened her tires is probably the most outrageous as mentioned above the cameras indicate otherwise. Further, I live in a strong family oriented community and such a outrageous 'flattened tire' claim would be the first in my neighborhood. Finally, despite the clear delusion of all of her claims, I still attempted to provide a refund at her request. To properly document the refund, proof of the claim was required. According to Lovell which is not mentioned in her review, she filed a police report, purchased four brand new tires as well as stayed in a hotel the last night of her Airbnb reservation. I simply requested proof of one of the claims to process the refund. To this day, I have not received anything. This leads me to believe that this elaborate story was not the first for Lovell. I wish her the best in becoming an honest member of the Airbnb sharing economy but would be very cautious to welcome her as a future guest in your home.

My stay in Teaneck was excellent. The house was beautiful and comfortable, and J was an excellent host. The price was perfect and being located so close to NYC makes this a great spot. I would highly recommend staying there.
