Our family spent a great thanksgiving long weekend at Mark's cottage. It was totally worth it. Mark is a great host and very friendly. The boat ride was very excited and serenely was so beautiful. The cottage is well equipped with everything. We didn't expect that there's is no water taxi service during the the weekend of our stay, didn't have enough grocery and there's no shop on the island. We finally managed it and it all worked out. Thanks Mark for having us!

Me and my friends had a great experience at Mark's cottage. It comfortably housed 8 of us (4 couples) and the amenities were exactly as expected. I particularly enjoyed the spacious kitchen, the kayaks and the pleasant ~45mins-1hr hiking trail adjacent to the property. The only confusion we had was that there is in fact no water taxi service so transport had to be coordinated through Mark's friend Ryan. Ryan however was very easy to coordinate with and we had no trouble going to and from the cottage. All in all it was a perfect weekend getaway and I would highly recommend Mark's place if you're looking for an escape from the city, particularly if you're a big group!

We had a fantastic time at this cottage. The cottage was spacious with lots of room for four kids and three adults. The dock is spectacular and the cottage has all the amenities of home. We explored the whole island and the town of Bracebridge (about a 5 minute boat ride away). All in all we had a super time and would highly recommend Mark's property.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Mark's lake house. We are a family of seven with one infant (10 months) and the week we stayed there couldn't have been better. Mark was kind and very responsive in answering all our questions prior to our arrival and prepped us with all of the info we needed. Check in was easy and smooth, Mark was friendly and even left us a bottle of wine to enjoy in the house. He also made the drive of about 5 hours round trip from Toronto to assist us with a need one night - talk about going above and beyond! The house is fully equipped with everything from cable tv, perfectly working Internet (even a second network by the dock so you are never disconnected!), Netflix, Xbox, children's games, comfortable couches, washer and dryer, a fireplace, a large BBQ and a fully equipped kitchen with a huge fridge and freezer including all the amenities you could think of - even bake ware! We could properly cook elaborate breakfasts, lunches and dinners as well as make cookies and cakes. Apart from the house, the whole property is beautiful, located right by the water, and offers everything you'd need for a nice summer vacation: kayaks, fun putting golf equipment, a fun towable bodyglove platform, many super soakers, board games, lawn chairs, outdoor tables - all to enjoy on the large porch right by the water or on the verandah right by the house. You'd think that since you're on a small island the connection, warm water or power would be compromised - but all to the contrary: The house is incredibly comfortable and lacks nothing! Even during a hefty thunderstorm we had enough electricity, warm water and were able to watch cable tv. There is a large Independent Grocer and a Canadian Tire about 7 mins away by car from the Indian Head Marina that has a huge selection and everything you'd need. We recommend to definitely book Mark's boat as well to make the most of your stay. It's the only way to and from the island at your own timing and allows you to take small trips around the lake and visit small towns (check out Gravenhurst, about 20 mins away). Thanks again Mark for a truly memorable vacation. We would love to be back as the time we spent at your house was lovely. Highly recommend.
