This is a great location, about 40 minutes walking to downtown but in a cool neighbourhood with lots of good mexican food. The space is a pretty basic basement suite but comfortable enough to see the city for a couple days.

Pilsen is an awesome neighbourhood, this place is well priced, has everything you need, and is easy to access from public transit, also only about a $15 ride from downtown. It is a basic apartment but we were very happy to have it as a place to rest at the end of busy days!

Leon was great, easy to communicate with and made us feel welcome. Neighborhood was good, not far from the city center. Would stay there again.

Leon was a great host! She did not intrude at all and was very accommodating. She allowed us to drop off our bags before our check in time and left us a nice variety basket of fruits to enjoy during our stay. The room looks exactly as the picture shows. My only gripe i had was the walls were very thin so you can hear conversations in the next room and you can hear the foot steps from people walking upstairs. Heater kept cycling on and off which made it difficult to fall asleep at night as i am a lighter sleeper. Overall, my stay was pleasant. It is worth mentioning that if you plan to stay out late, there is limited transit access because of the bus schedule changes in the evening. Transiting to the loop was about 15 minutes if the bus was timed well, if not, it could take as much as 35 minutes or so.

Leon was great with communication and very accommodating. It was nice to arrive to water and soda in the fridge and fresh fruit. A pleasant stay and accommodations are just as described. A little package was left with information about what's around which was helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

The appartment is small but neat & clean. It is a basement therefore don't expect a view. The neigbourhood is pleasant and seems safe to me. The fruits and bottles of water in the friedge are a well apreciated gesture.

We didn't meet Leon, however we met his warm and welcoming wife Teneisha. Upon greeting us, she noticed that our baby a messy accident. She kindly offered to wash his clothes and coat, even asking if he was allergic to laundry soap (which he is). The fridge was stocked with refreshments and the fresh fruit was a nice touch. We forgot an item from the library at her house and she mailed it back to us the same day! We loved Pilsen! There were so many playgrounds and cool places to eat and drink. The area was very safe and the people where all friendly and engaging. It was a wonderful trip and a much richer experience than if we had stayed in a hotel downtown. We took the number 8 Halstead or the orange line everywhere. Everything was exactly as described in the ad. You can't go wrong with Taneisha and Leon :) Sunday at The Honky Tonk BBQ was delicious and entertaining with a live old timey band. We had dinner at all the Taco-Tequila bars and Simone's. They were all awesome.

We are clean and neat freaks that have hosted over 1000 different sets of Airbnb guests from all over the world in our Chicago apartments!. Our apartments are in the south loop of downtown Chicago. The museums, stadiums (United Center, Soldier Field, etc.), and McCormick Place, Thalia hall, China town, University of Illinois, University of Chicago, Rush university, Medical district are all close and easily accessible. The magnificent mile is: 9 minutes by bus and 5 minutes by taxi or Uber.

We are friendly people who enjoy meeting new friends and traveling. We have lived in the Caribbean, London, and New York before moving to Chicago. Came to Chicago primarily for school but then we loved it and decided to stay. Yes, we love Chicago, and even the winter is GREAT! Good food options are unbelievably amazing in Chicago.

Taneisha and I have multiple apartments on this website. Some of the apartments are 3 bedrooms, bathroom, living room, dining room, and kitchen. Some are two bedrooms, bathroom, living, and kitchen and the others are 1 bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, and living room. We provide additional airbeds if needed. The airbeds are extremely comfortable and are queen size and 18 inches high.

All the apartments have free WiFi, guestbooks, and basic amenities such as TV, iron, iron board, refrigerator, hair dryer, with water, pop, and juice, microwave, coffee maker, cups, plates, pots, pans, bathroom towels, shower items, etc.

Airbnb is extremely fun for us since we are also international. We have traveled to most of the states in the US, London, Milan, Italy, Turkey. I have also attended Universities on both sides of the Atlantic (London and Chicago).

Favorite music are Reggae, R&B, hip hop, Latin music, country music. I love to eat and my favorite food are fish, fruits, and vegetables. My favorite sports are rock climbing, archery, diving, soccer, and basketball.

These days if we are not out with friends, we are with family, or spending time on the computer. Our life motto is working hard and taking care of health!!!!!
