This craftsman-style cottage with vaulted ceilings and rare touches makes for a private, cozy, and truly enjoyable home away from home.

We offer a clean studio with a private entrance, plenty of indoor space, a noticeably comfy queen-size bed, mini-kitchen, full bath, and a commercial a/c & heater.

With nice lighting, all the home necessities, and a quiet green space immediately outside, your cottage may serve you in many ways!

Walk to Lucky's market, 1 mile to UF, and so much more!

We are Leif and Marina, a couple living together in the next door house together with Leif's 10 year-old son. We are counselors and facilitators of Nonviolent Communication (NVC) - a form of conflict resolution and social justice - with a passion for making the world a more peaceful place. Leif works with couples and families, and Marina is leads local and online women's support groups as well as works individually with women. We are both friendly, warm, and open, and welcome you to enjoy your time in our sweet little cottage. Leif has lived in Gainesville for most of his life, and knows the city inside and out. He can answer any questions you may have about places to visit and explore, and how best to get there. Marina, on the other hand, moved here from Berkeley, California only three years ago in order to be with her love. She is learning about Gainesville, but is happy to share with you what she knows. She is so far really digging the place. Leif's 10 year-old son is wise, friendly, and outgoing, yet knows to be respectful of and give plenty of space to our guests. Welcome to our guesthouse The Owl's Pad! Let us know if there is anything we can do to make your stay as pleasurable as possible.
