In the heart of the small fishing village of Comillas, four bedrooms traditional wooden house for rent, 3 minutes walk from the entire town’s commodities, and facing a calm and quiet little square with English neighbours.
The house was restored 30 years ago by the owners in the traditional way of Cantabria. It has two balconies facing the street and a small garden.
On the ground floor, a dinning room, a bar and an opened kitchen, fully equipped.
On the first floor, a living room, an access to the private garden (also accessible from the street), and a bedroom for two with personal bathroom and balcony.
On the second floor, two bedrooms for two, one facing the garden, the other one opening on the highest balcony of the house and the street; personal bathroom for the balcony bedroom, and another bathroom for the floor and the other bedroom.
On the third floor and attic, a children’s bedroom for two, accessible by an in-built wooden ladder, and decorated as a yacht.
The house is cosy, all made of wood, and decorated by the owners.
Spare rooms are for rent all year long, but you may also consider renting the whole house for loner periods, in which case, rental will include service 3 times a week (laundering, cleaning and ironing); TV is also provided.
Comillas is only 55 km from the city of Santander and the international airport, and only 30 km from the train station of Torrelavega (high speed connection to Valladolid and Madrid).
West and East from the town of Comillas are huge beaches accessible by car, but 10 minutes walking from the house is the small beach of Comillas and it’s little fishing harbour.
The historical center of the town is worth visiting (Palaces, town houses, Seminary, parks and squares etc.), and especially the architectural legacy of Gaudi, who was a regular visitor of Comillas in his time; as well as the luxurious surroundings of this breeding region.
Heading West, 60 km away, are the stunning Picos de Europa, which can be seen from Comillas and most of the nearby hills and villages.
