Rocky Top Lodge is nestled in the Foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and was carefully designed and thoughtfully decorated. All of the décor was hand chosen over a 2 year period.
Be sure to check out our sister cabin, The Farmhouse, also listed on Airbnb. Cabins are situated next to each other yet very private.

The space
New for 2021- Internet in each cabin, You Tube TV package, Traveler’s Game Room and Brew Barn, and a playset for the children (these are shared spaces). The Game room is where you will choose your breakfast foods to take back to your cabin and prepare in the morning. Also in the game room are arcade games, books, board games, seating, Keurig, and where we hold special events. Also, complementary beer and wine on the weekends.

Awaken to the sound of birds singing outside your window and the smell of locally roasted coffee brewing in the kitchen. Roll out of bed, pour a cup of coffee, grab a throw blanket, a good book and head out to the porch where a comfy seat awaits.
Enjoy fresh local baked goods while taking in all of the sights and sounds that surround you as you plan your next adventure.
Whether you decide to play on a lake, hike to see a waterfall, kayak down a river, ride your mountain bike on the Palmetto Trail, or just pack a picnic and enjoy the serenity of the Blue Ridge Mountains, you will find yourself at peace here. Let yourself enjoy the beauty and awe that surrounds you and rejuvenate your body, mind and soul.
Oconee County boasts four lakes with 90,000 acres of water, two rivers, over 160 waterfalls and endless park acreage to explore. Fishing, hiking, boating, paddle board, whitewater rafting are just a few of the activities you can enjoy.
Plan ahead to see a Clemson game, take in one of the seasonal events or wander into one of our many museums. Check out the visitor guide basket left in Rocky Top Lodge for maps and more information on things to do in the area.
If you decide that you want to venture further you can take a day trip on Hwy107 up to Cashiers then Highlands. It’s a beautiful drive with National and State parks along the way. With several historical sites, waterfalls, hiking trails and overlooks on the way you could easily spend more than a day exploring. Stop in Cashiers to browse or have lunch. Head further up the mountain to Highlands, a quaint town on the Eastern Continental Divide elevation 3727ft. Both towns are delightful to visit. You can head back to Rocky Top Lodge on Hwy28 for a sports car enthusiast or motorcyclist challenge. 88 curves in 11 miles. Parks, overlooks, and beautiful scenery abound as the road runs along the Chattooga River. Round trip is about 90 miles and about 3hrs 15 mins without stops.
Winter lends a different feel to the area, beautiful in its own way. Still plenty to do indoors and out. Snowboarding, tubing and skiing are about an hour away.
In the evening you can savor a meal at a local restaurant, attend a play at one of our local theaters, relax and enjoy live music at a street festival, craft beer pub or wine bar. If you are too tired from your active day to go out, then you can head back to Rocky Top Lodge and prepare dinner in the well-appointed kitchen, pick vegetables from our seasonal garden for a fresh salad and enjoy a glass of wine by the fire outside. Hear the wind rustling in the trees and feel the warmth of the fire on your face.
Before falling asleep by the cozy fire, head on into the cabin and slide into the comfortable King size bed for a great night’s sleep. Tomorrow is another day to explore.
All linens are provided. Paper goods, shampoo, conditioner and homemade soap supplied.
Breakfast food is being supplied in our new shared space: Traveler's Game Room and Brew Barn. You can choose the foods you want and take it back to your cabin to cook in the morning.

Doug is a twice retired Firefighter/Paramedic from Florida. Still working part time as a Paramedic.
Royce is a Paramedic from Florida, now working for a primary care clinic.
We both fell in love with the upcountry in South Carolina because of its diverse landscape, and accessibility to outdoor activities. We relocated here about 4 years ago.
Although we are still exploring the area, we are a great source of information on places to visit, parks to explore, restaurants to savor, driving trips to experience and current events happening in the area.
Both Doug and I want to provide you with a trip to remember with clean, well-appointed cabins with a homey feel, tastefully decorated and stocked with local treats.
We do live on property but will respect your privacy. Feel free to contact us if you need anything, have any questions or just want to chat.
