Great location
95% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
Just 10 minute drive to Mount Gambier and the famous Blue Lake. A spacious 1 bedroom unit in a rural location. Close to Glenburnie race course and within 30 minutes to many local attractions. There is secure off road, undercover parking. You will have the entire place to yourselves but we live just across the paddock should you need anything.

The space
The unit is large and open plan with 1 bedroom. There is reverse cycle air conditioning for your comfort. It is surrounded by farmland and livestock, including our friendly sheep so livestock noise will be highly likely.
You will be greeted by the farm cat Jock who is very friendly and enjoys interactingwith guests (so if you don't like cats or are allergic you may want to stay elsewhere.)

Location

Yahl, South Australia, Australia

Yahl is just a 10 minute drive to Mount Gambier and the famous Blue Lake, but there is so much more to see.
Within a 30 minute drive from The Sheep Shack you can explore the caves and sinkholes, go bush walking, enjoy the wild windswept beaches and visit the beautiful Glenelg River. A bit further over the Victorian border you can take a scenic drive to Cape Bridgewater, where you might see seals up close, or take a seal cruise.
You might need more than one night!
It's so much more than just a stop over between Melbourne and Adelaide. Base yourself here for a few days or a week and see all that we have to offer in our Limestone Coast.

During your stay
We live on the property just a short walk over the paddock. We are happy to chat and advise on places to go and what's to see in our area if you like. Other than that you will be left alone to enjoy your stay.
