Beds were odd. Bunk beds cut off very low for little kids. Not ok for adults. Futon in main room very uncomfortable.

Great host, very helpful with recommendations (way to the apartment, what to see, where to go) – highly recommended.

The location is exactly as advertised, in the heart of the Le Marais neighborhood. It is a 5 minute walk to the metro or buses. There are plenty of dining options nearby. The flat has wifi and a well equipped kitchen. It is on the 3rd floor and there is an elevator, but between the elevator and the flat there are a few steps up and down. The host was very communicative and all interactions with her were prompt and convenient. She thoughtfully left us a bottle of wine and a jar of cookies on the table. The apartment furnishings are very worn and need to be refreshed. The sofas are badly stained. A padded stool in the kitchen is ripped. The bedroom walls have ink and crayon marks from a child. The bathroom sink had not been cleaned. The flat could use a fresh coat of paint. There is a bad leak from the shower ceiling (water pouring out) if one tried to change the shower head setting. The beds in the bedroom are a small version of a bunk bed; the lower bed is on the floor and the upper bed is chest height. This means that an adult would have to bend down & crawl into the lower bed if he/she wanted to use it. The sofa bed did not seem to have support in the center, so we weren't able to use it. I mention this only because someone with mobility issues may have some trouble using any of the beds. The flat was very cluttered. There were baskets of children's books on the bedroom floor; a child's potty on the bedroom floor in front of the toilet; a pile of washed dishes draining on the counter and a partially eaten loaf of bread in a bag on the shelf. It looked and felt as if someone had just moved out right before we walked in. I am uncertain what the "cleaning fee" is used for. All in all, it wasn't mis-advertised, just uncomfortable.

Response from Nina:
Dear Marc, thank you for your commentary. Your advise and recommendation will be very helpful to improve our apartment. I am happy that you were pleased with the location and dining options. I am sorry if some things were not perfect. It is a real family apartment, and not a commercial Airbnb apartment, so for sure we do not reach yet the quality standards of a hotel or a permanent Airbnb apartment. Also, it was our first experience as a host, so your feedback is very important to improve the apartment. I am sorry that you could not use the sofa bed. It does have support in the center. It was perhaps folded, and just needed to be unfolded. Next time do not hesitate to contact your host for any question about the functioning of the flat, as I would have been happy to provide you with assistance. A professional cleaner cleaned the apartment for 5 hours before your arrival, so you can be sure there was a good cleaning done. But we will work to improve on this also. Thank you again for this very complete feedback and for helping us improving our service, Kind regards, Nina
