The Isle of View cabin was traditionally used as the "honeymoon" cabin (say Isle of View out loud). Today, we host honeymooners, along with family/friends that are looking for a little cabin getaway. Outside your door, is a lazy river that runs through the property. Isle of View has a full size custom mattress for a great night's sleep, a log day bed with a custom twin mattress, and nook with a comfy log love-seat, a gas-burning fireplace to heat the room.

The space
Besides hiking, fly-fishing, exploring- our recreation room in the historic lodge has a pool table, and ping-pong table for epic showdowns. We also offer Kiva events, such as Bingo, pot-luck dinners, and movie nights (check with us when you check in to see if these events will be going on during your stay.)

Guest access
As a guest of Glen-Isle, you will be able to access the historical lodge, where we have Wifi, and seating around a cozy fire. The lodge is home to hundreds of Native American relics, dolls from all of the world, and beautiful handmade doll houses that will capture your attention for hours. The best story teller are the many pictures taken from the early 1900's that show the life of Glen-Isle. The guest rooms upstairs are all decorated in the original furniture from the early 1900's. You will also be able to use the recreation room, where there is a pool table and ping-pong table. In the summer, we have Kiva social gathering events, such as concerts, Bingo, movie night, and storytelling. We also have s'mores around the campfire!

Other things to note
Glen-Isle Resort was built in 1899 and opened in 1901. We found a brochure from 1923, and it read that Glen-Isle was the finest resort in Colorado's most famous canon and second to none in the entire Rocky Mountain region. We know you have many choices when it comes to where you stay- but driving over the bridge and discovering the magic of this historic property is unforgettable. We love that the 150 acres was home to the Native Americans and today we still find their treasures, arrowheads, pottery, and the beautiful Prayer Trees are scattered throughout the property.
We love furry friends and family members and we are happy to host their stay. However, due to extra cleaning we must charge $10 per pet, per day. Air BnB does not collect this money, so it will need to be paid upon arrival. We also ask that if you allow your fur baby to get on your furniture at home, that you bring your own pet blankets to protect our beds and furniture. We do our very best to provide the cleanest accommodations for all guests, and sometimes those guests have pet allergies, thus we take every precaution to ensure that the cabins are kept free of dander and pet hair. Thanks for allowing us to continue having furry family members at Glen-Isle. Please reach out with any questions! (we also have a pet waiver that we will ask you to sign, with expectations for your pet during your stay) Many thanks!

My work: Glen Isle Resort- proprietor
Lives in Bailey, Colorado
I love traveling, and have been fortunate that I've gotten to see the wonderful things I've seen! I can't really pick a favorite place- it seems that I love the uniqueness of the places I've traveled and the people, food, and entertainment I've found there. As a guest in your home, I will treat it with the same respect I would want my home to be treated. I respect the community I am in, and will try to leave your home as I found it. My husband and I left our careers to buy, run and renovate a 118 year old resort outside of Denver, Colorado.
