Are you looking for a home away from home experience? Then look no further!
We are offering a private double room in a family home which can accommodate up to two guests. Our home is in a residential neighbourhood and provides a tranquil back garden where you will be able to relax and escape from the hustle and bustle of life.

The space
If you'd like to experience London as a local, look no further. My family and I live in a leafy residential area of London, away from the noise but also within easy reach to central London.

Our home is a 1930's built house which is quite typical of this area of London. We have 1 room available to accommodate our guests. This room can accommodate up to 2 people. There is a shared bathroom which includes towels and shower gel. We also provide fresh linen and a hair dryer. Our room has tea and coffee making facilities. If at any time you feel anything else is missing, let me know and I am sure we could organise this. There is FREE wifi throughout the house. We are very flexible with check-in and check-out times, just let us know your requirements.

In terms of location, our house is within 20 minutes’ walk of Colliers Wood underground station, which is a 30 minutes journey from the West End and the City. We are 20 minutes’ walk from Tooting Rail station where you can get trains to many parts of London and outside London. We are located within walking distance of a number of restaurants, gyms, open parks and retail shops. London Gatwick is the closest airport to our home, about 45 minutes away by cab; Heathrow is just an hour by cab.

If you'd like to remain local, there are many options close to our house! The Tandem and Abbey Mills shopping centres providing a wide variety of retail and restaurant options are a 10 minute walk away. The local riverside pubs, with large beer-gardens and relaxed atmosphere, are worth a visit. We are one mile from Tooting High Street (named by Lonely Planet in 2017 as one of the ten coolest neighbourhoods on earth) where you can find a variety of entertainment with a wide range of eating experiences such as Asian, Italian, Polish, Greek, Indian, African and Caribbean. The beautiful Morden Hall Park is worth a visit if you are a nature lover. There is also an outdoor tennis court, gym and basketball court located within 10 minutes from our home. Other highlights include the historic Merton Abbey Mills.

We have done our best to try to answer as many questions as we could think of, however if there is anything more you'd like to ask please send me a message. We look forward to hearing from you and welcoming you to our home.

Greater London, England, United Kingdom

There is never a dull moment in London; you can quite easily find something to do at a moment's notice. In our local area some of the attractions we enjoy are:

• Pleasant local walks: there are several local parks and woodlands ideal for an afternoon stroll. We recommend Morden Hall Park, with its pleasant river landscape, Ravensbury Park for a riverside stroll, Wimbledon Common, and for those who like longer walks, Richmond Park, London’s largest park where over two thousand deer roam, is a bus-ride away.
• Entertainment: as we are thirty minutes on the Underground from London’s theatreland, Chinatown and Soho, we expect that guests from outside London would want to check that out first. Locally, though, we have two theatres in Wimbledon and several local cinemas, and there are many local events, such as free jazz and theatrical entertainments at Merton Abbey Mills and in Tooting, if you find yourself at a loose end and don’t want to go far.
• Health and fitness: there are several local gyms, sports centres, tennis courts, basketball courts and swimming pools, including Tooting Bec Lido, the largest outdoor swimming pool in the UK, and local parks to jog in.
• Shopping: the house is within ten minutes’ walk of main shopping streets and three retail parks with branches of many high street retailers covering all your routine shopping needs. We will provide you with a map of local shops and the routes to them.
