The space

There are 2 flights of stairs to my apt. No elevator. Please don't act surprised that you have to carry your luggage up 2 flights of stairs ;)

I live in the space, so yes my personal stuff is "everywhere" The place is decorated how I enjoy it and I hope you enjoy it too :-)
If you'd prefer a sterile, hotel-like space, this is not the place for you :/
But if you enjoy a lived in space, with interesting art and a lot of character that feels like a home, you will enjoy the space! :-) I do make sure that there is closet space with hangers and a couple of empty drawers for you in the bedroom dresser, as well as space in the fridge and plenty of counterspace to cook on in the kitchen.

Our light rail, TRAX, stops a half block from my place and the green line that goes to and from the airport stops there as well as other lines that will take you to the heart of downtown.
SMOKING IS ABSOLUTELY NOT ALLOWED ANYWHERE INCLUDING THE BALCONY. It is in violation of my lease. But you are welcome to go downstairs and outside to the rear of the building to smoke :)

Please take into account: I DO HAVE A DOG. He will not be there while you are here of course. He's not a big shedder, but especially in the fall and spring I do notice more dog hair on blankets etc. I lint roll furniture and blankets before every airbnb renter, but I never seem to be able to get everything.

My place has an open floor plan, which means not a lot of privacy. But if you're looking for a place to lay your head and relax, this is it. If you're looking for a place where you can close the door behind you, this probably is not it.
I enjoy a drink, but I allow absolutely no drugs in my home.
Please also note I have a dog. Obviously he won't be at the apartment, but you may come across some wiry Wyatt hairs here and there. Not sure if it would be a problem for dog allergy sufferers.
Also, there are 2 flights of stairs up to my apartment and no elevator.

My building has quiet hours 10pm-7am. This doesn't mean you can't visit and enjoy your time after 10, just don't be yelling back and forth to neighbors from the balcony and playing music loudly like some recent airbnb'ers did... There are plenty of bars downtown to get rowdy at
I like to keep a calm, relaxed, friendly atmosphere.

Brenda's place was great! It was our first time in SLC for doTERRA's convention and it was a great short Uber ride from the convention centre. The neighbourhood around the place was quite empty but the Blue Copper coffee shop across the street was amazing. The neighbours were loud at night and in the evening. Although there are 3 beds it was a small space so if you're looking for something spacious read the listing carefully as she's quite accuracy in her description! A great place to lay your head!

Cute loft close to downtown. There were only two of us, which fit nicely. Basic kitchen set up, but functional. Trax is on the doorstep! Walking distance from restaurants, bars, and other fun. Good communication, and fun style, only average cleanliness.

This is terrific value and such a fun space. Brenda and Cathryn went out of their way to make sure we had a great time and that we had everything we needed. It's super close to the light rail, but wasn't affected by any noise. Perfect! The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and the bathroom and kitchen were both clean without being sterile. Recommend without hesitation!

Brenda's place is in an excellent, central location, especially if you want to take public transportation during your stay. The apartment is nicely laid out, with a sleeping loft above, and kitchen & living room space below. There are steps to climb, both to get into the unit and once you are inside, and the place has a lived-in appeal - not hotel-like.

I came to SLC for the final Outdoor Retailer show in the state and what a bummer because if we were coming back I would stay here every time. The place is perfect t for a small group of friends to stay at and have some extra elbow room over a hotel. The place is really cool and hip, the decor was awesome and we all loved the lay out. Their was a great little market down the street, Jade Market, and some cool restaurants and 2 breweries nearby. The access to the light rail makes getting around very easy and Brenda is a great host with good communication and even checked on us to make sure everything was going great. I have stayed in SLC for years and this was my favorite place to stay of them all

The apartment is really close to the light rail and it's very convenient to get to downtown and to the airport. I loved Brenda's art and decor; it feels very homey. Brenda and Cathryn were both quick to respond to all my messages both before and during my stay.

Great value for the price. Brenda and her co-host were great at communicating before and during our stay. There was a slight odor in the apartment and not much storage space for groceries if you plan on cooking during your stay, but everything else was great!

I've been an Airbnb host for almost 3 years. 99% of the people I have rented to, have been wonderful and I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting them. Some I have spent more time with and really enjoyed their company and others I wished I had gotten to know better!
I get a great feeling of satisfaction from knowing that someone is enjoying my space and my city that I have come to love.
I personally love to travel and from my own experience I know the value of feeling at home somewhere and having everything I need. That toothbrush I forgot, that sewing kit for that button that just popped off, shampoo and conditioner that I couldn't bring in my carry-on (or at least not enough to last me my trip) or a few eggs and some toast to make breakfast in the kitchen. These are all the personal touches I like when I travel and I like to provide these things and more to ensure that my Airbnb'ers have a welcoming and satisfying experience.
