Virna's house was just as how the photo showed. Its beautiful and I could catch the fireworks from the apartment during New Year. Her assistant that helped us with the check-in was super helpful, he assisted us in booking a cab for our trip to the airport and ensure that everything we need was attended to. Virna was also contactable through airbnb and answered any necessary questions we might have. The apartment does not have lift, but it is not a problem for those who are not carrying huge luggages! The view from her apartment is lovely too.

The apartment is located in Porta Capuana, with a great views of the old gates to the city. The steps leading up to the apartment aren't the most spacious, so be careful if you have large luggage. The apartment is located in close vicinity to the central train station and other tourist attractions. I would most definitely stay here again if I ever return back to Naples.

The apartment sits on the top floor and overlooks a square and old gate/landmark. In order to get to the apartment you need to climb up a very narrow spiral staircase which might present a problem if you travel with a larger suitcase or have difficulties climbing stairs. The apartment is accurately displayed on the photos and was bright and clean. We never met Virna and had a few difficulties getting in touch with her during the 48 hours leading up to our arrival. Her mother met us at the house and let us in. The neighborhood can only be described as questionable; we found homeless people, drug addicts, and guys with pit-bulls lingering on the street. This is the typical crowd of people often to be found around central train stations in major cities and I would not suggest my elder parents or young daughters to stay in this neighborhood. On the other hand you only had to walk a couple of blocks to get to the central train station to travel to Rome or Pompeii.

The apartment itself was as described and Virna was lovely. She arrived on time and explained everything to us. The apartment was clean and quite big. However, as other reviewers have noted, the noise from the bar downstairs was quite loud. We slept on the pull out couch rather than the bed to avoid some of the noise. It rendered the balconies not usable at night. The stone steps leading up to the apartment were steep and narrow. They were okay for us but could be strenuous for someone older or with large baggage.

Virna's kookily adequate and tidy apartment is hidden at the top of a properly ancient-feeling, steep, stone spiral staircase. It is located above a popular local bar which is quite boisterous and loud – you'll get a very 'real' idea of what life in Naples is like in this area, which, if you're not looking for a luxury hotel experience, may suit you very well. Though I didn't meet Virna in person, she put me in contact with her friendly neighbour Mosé, and she was very communicative throughout the whole process. I enjoyed a very hot and sticky August stay in this Napoli Airbnb!

Virna was incredibly helpful and accommodating when we got pick pocketed in Amsterdam and had to arrive in Naples two days late. She let us shift our reservation two days later, which was very nice. The apartment has wonderful patios and was very close to the train station. Her parents even bought us water for the fridge. The one drawback was that it is close to a bar and even on a weeknight, it was hopping until 2am and made it a bit difficult to sleep.
