Our private guest suite is a special retreat from the hustle and bustle whether you're traveling to STL or even a city resident looking for a staycation. Enjoy access to our expansive yard and nearby parks. We're also one block from Cherokee Street (Antique Row) and a short jaunt to Soulard and Downtown.

We have loved designing this b&b to be comfortable and cozy, and we look forward to sharing it with you. If you need anything to make your stay better, we live upstairs and are happy to help.

The space
Welcome to your cozy, private guest suite! Situated on a quadruple lot in the Benton Park neighborhood, this space is your opportunity to rest and relax and/or take advantage of the walkability of the area. Stay in for a night of r&r or go out to enjoy all the great restaurants, shops, parks, and more the city has to offer.

The b&b is located on the first floor (we live on the 2nd + 3rd floors) of a three-story house built in 1895. True to the charm of historic St. Louis homes, the space features exposed brick walls, hardwood floors, and a beautiful (massive) pocket door. Grab one of several blankets and snuggle up on the couch for a night in watching movies (you’ll have access to Netflix or login to any app with your personal account), playing board games (stocked for both adults and kids alike), or spinning records from the collection provided.

The bedroom features a queen size bed with extra blankets and plush pillows. The closet houses a pack-n-play for littles, an ironing board and iron for those here on business, and a fan. We have also provided a sound machine for those that need a little white noise to help them sleep and blackout curtains in the bedroom.

The bathroom is fully stocked with fresh bath towels, hand towels, and wash cloths. Choose to use our shampoo, conditioner, and body wash or bring your own. Looking for a little extra relaxation? Enjoy the bath salts provided for a soak in the clawfoot tub. A step ladder is provided for those who need assistance in and out of the tub.

The kitchen features new stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher for easy clean-up. The space is stocked for all your cooking needs including pots and pans, a skillet, toaster, built-in microwave, a variety of spices and cooking oils, and all the other necessities.

Herbal teas as well as locally roasted coffee beans (and a grinder) are provided. Brew either in a drip coffee maker or a French Press. Along with your beverages, enjoy fresh eggs from a local Missouri farm.

Our water pitcher features a charcoal filtration stick for a no-waste option—so don’t get worried when you see a little black stick in your water. Speaking of reducing waste, we recycle and compost, so please make use of those receptacles.

Enjoy the outdoors with our expansive yard and large backyard deck, featuring a patio table for outdoor dining. We can’t wait to share our urban food forest with you all starting soon (stay tuned!) We also have two beehives at the the back of the property.

The basement washer and dryer is available upon request. Please let us know when you book your stay if you'll need access.

Where you’ll be

St. Louis, Missouri, United States

Cherokee Street is a vibrant melting pot of St. Louis culture. Art galleries, antique shops, authentic Mexican restaurants, quirky bars and local boutiques line the streets. We particularly love seeing live music at Off Broadway, grabbing coffee and a bite at Mudhouse, or taking a stroll through our neighborhood to admire all the old STL architecture.

Just across the park is home to some of the best spots in the city. The funky Venice Cafe is a total trip--great for grabbing a beer and catching some live music. If you're looking for something a bit more refined, the James Beard Award winning Sidney Street Cafe is just a couple blocks away or check out Frazer's Lounge nearby. For more of a dive (but with amazing cocktails), check out Small Change.

I love getting to know people more than anything else--especially over a few beers. When I'm not catching up with friends, I'm probably growing, cooking, or eating food...or maybe a combination of all three. My wife and I love to garden and we love to create comfortable, inviting space. Needless to say, we've wanted to have our own Airbnb for years. Happily, we just purchased our dream house--a home in the middle of the city that has a large yard for gardening and an extra space to share with others. We could not be more excited to connect with this amazing Airbnb community as hosts!
