If you are visiting Portland via train or plane then no car is necessary during your stay. Simply ride Portland's light rail MAX train direct from Portland International Airport or Union Train Station for $2.50. Followed by a flat 10-minute walk. Transit is close enough to be very convenient while far enough away that you will not hear it.

■ 𝗗𝗥𝗜𝗩𝗜𝗡𝗚❓ 🚘
Then there is ample *free* street parking without time limits. The location provides some of the shortest driving times to all of core Portland. Read [Location] below for distances.

■ 𝗠𝗢𝗗𝗔 + 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗖𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗦: ⚐⚑
If you are attending an event at Moda Center or the Oregon Convention Center this apartment is a flat 15 to 20 minute walk away. And you can shorten that via the MAX, Streetcar or bus.

■ 𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗘𝗧𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗦 🚍
It is a 7 minute walk to the Central Portland Streetcar loops that will take you all around Portland, including: The Pearl District, Powell's Books, numerous Portland breweries, SE Portland, NW Portland, Nob Hill/NW 23rd Shopping, Downtown, SW Portland, PSU, OMSI, OHSU and more. The Pearl District is just a 12 minute ride west, and South East Portland is a direct 12 minute ride south. For more info, please look at our photo stream with captions or web search for "Portland Oregon Streetcar" as AirBnB will not consistently let us show it as a website.

■ 𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗟: 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗫 🚇
Portland Trimet's Light Rail "MAX" train stop at NE 7th Avenue is a flat 10 minute walk. From there you have direct access to the 3 major east/west RED, BLUE and GREEN MAX lines which go to the most places around greater Portland. While via one connection you have access to the north/south YELLOW and ORANGE lines. See the photos for a transit map.

■ 𝗟𝗬𝗙𝗧 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗨𝗕𝗘𝗥: 🚘
Always an option, guests report that ride services Lyft and Uber on average cost $6 to $10 per trip and that most trips took about 10 minutes for the places they wanted to go.

■ 𝗖𝗔𝗥 𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗟 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗦𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗦: 🚘
Getaround, Turo and Zipcar provide cars you can rent for a single trip or a few days via a Smartphone app. Then it's short walk to drive away. Cars are as close as a 2 minute walk. So if you want a rental car after getting here, it is readily available and should cost you less then getting one at the airport as cars rented here do not have the added airport fees.

■ 𝗨𝗦𝗘 𝗖𝗔𝗥 𝗢𝗥 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗧: 🚘 🚇 🚍
You can easily spend many days exploring greater Portland from this apartment with or without a car. Though when you stay here and use transit, you'll likely get where you want faster and less expensively after factoring in parking time and costs when Portland is fully open. While parking is ample and free near us, it is neither free nor ample in much of Portland. Most guests walk, use transit and supplement with Lyft or Uber, only if needed.

■ 𝗢𝗣𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗬, 𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗟𝗢𝗥𝗘 𝗩𝗜𝗔 𝗕𝗜𝗞𝗘: 🚲
While you absolutely do not need a bicycle to enjoy staying here, it is always an option with our perfect 100/100 bike score. There is a Biketown bicycle 🚲 rental hub 5 minutes away. And by biking you can usually reach destinations in 1/3rd the time versus walking as long as you use Portland's "greenway" bike routes or are comfortable sharing the roads with cars. A low car traffic greenway that parallels NE Broadway is 1 block away.

■ 𝗘-𝗦𝗖𝗢𝗢𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗦:
There are nearby hubless shared standing or seated Electric Scooters you can rent with a smart phone. E-Scooters travel at up to 15 miles per hour and may be used on bike lanes and greenways, but NOT sidewalks. Like bicycles they can reduce travel times, just without the pedaling effort.

■ 𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗘𝗗: 📋✔
This city/fire/safety inspected, fully permitted, code compliant and Portland *licensed* AirBnB apartment is located in our engineered for comfort "look-out" (half above ground) waterproof basement with multiple windows, dim-able LED lighting, modern insulation, and zoned heating.

■ 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗧𝗢 𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗧: ☺ 👍
Our intention is to provide you with a well located, quiet, safe, comfortable, fully functional "home away from home" as your base for whatever you do in the greater Portland area.

■ 𝘿𝙄𝙎𝘾𝙊𝙐𝙉𝙏𝙎: 💰
