Looking for an "Unplugged Family Staycation" or a Girl's Weekend touring the Bluebonnet Wine Trail? Come spend your Texas "staycation" in that perfect mix of Southern style, history and modern comfort in the historic Harris-Martin House!

Built in 1837, you will walk the same floors and sit in the same parlor as Texas Revolutionaries once did. Original long-leaf pine floors, milled pine board walls, a clawfoot tub, and three porches are waiting for you.

The space
The Harris-Martin provides a variety of spaces for you to relax in. A parlor, sitting room, and dining room provide perfect environments for good conversation, good food, and good drink. What would an old Southern home be without porches? There are three-- complete with rocking chairs, a porch swing, and outdoor couches.

There are three bedrooms. The large Master Suite has a King bed, claw foot tub, fireplace, and access to the upstairs porch. Downstairs there is a full size, four-poster spindle bed. In another room you will find a twin day bed with a trundle underneath that can convert into a King Bed.

For those looking to do a little comfort food cooking, the kitchen is fully-equipped with large granite countertops and a full range of stainless steel appliances. A wood pellet grill is provided for the BBQ chef (with one bag of pellets).

During your stay
Our weekend home is your vacation getaway! The Harris-Martin House is not our primary residence (we live about an hour away) but help is just a phone call away.

In addition to being a full-time sales manager, I am also in grad school. Schedule-permitting I can be there to welcome you! We will have someone near by, if there are issues.

In early October we started the process of renovating a storage building to convert it into a cottage! The structure is down the hill, away from the main house, at the back of the 2 acre lot. There will be week days where our construction crews will be accessing the cottage via the road that runs the length of the property.

We will avoid construction days on the weekends and will do our best to have loud, exterior work completed on guest-free week days. Thank you for your understanding as we create addition space to accommodate the demand we’ve had!
