A tiny house that is nestled into the mountainside. Ponderosa pine, snow-capped mountains, and the meeting-place of two rivers in the distance. Tranquility.

There are only two neighbours (none visible from the tiny house windows) and the space is quiet. You'll hear the wind in the trees and maybe the trains passing through the Canyon. Cook a meal, cozy up, and savour the view.

Enjoy the peace.

The space
This is a two-year old tiny house built beside rock walls and fruit trees that have been here since the 1940s. It is private and secluded, with its own driveway, parking, and half-acre of "wild" land; still, it has two neighbours and is close to civilization, being a quick walk and even quicker drive to downtown Lytton.

Where you’ll be

Lytton, British Columbia, Canada

The tiny house is tucked on the edge of the forest on its own private half-acre of land. In the winter, when the leaves are gone, the Ministry of Forests building next door is visible; in the other seasons, it's mostly hidden by the trees. The host’s home is also nearby.

A short walk down the hill will take you to the Village of Lytton. It's a very small community (population 240) with one basic grocery store, three little restaurants, and the host’s Klowa Art Café.

I grew up in & around Lytton (Nlaka’pamux Territory) and, after travelling all through my 20s, moved back & settled down. I love the landscape, the welcoming community, and the general peaceful happiness of this place. Now I own a cosy art café in Lytton, where I get to feature the work of local artists; we roast our own coffee and make a mean espresso. I’m a single mom to a 4-year-old daughter, who helps out at the shop and insists on good work/life balance. I’m also a knitter & designer; you can see my work at the art café and online. I hope to be able to welcome you to Lytton! : )
