Spread out in your spacious 550 sq ft suite and enjoy the cozy furnishings.

Blackout curtains and noise-cancelling machines ensure quality sleep.

Guests are welcome to explore the landscaped gardens or hang out on their private 130 sq ft deck. You have a designated Guest Parking space off-street, on the driveway, and any extra cars may be safely parked on the street. Step-free access to the suite. Freshly painted.

NOTE: This is in a mid-century split-level home, and we do live upstairs, but your suite is private to you and not shared.

Other things to note
Part of what makes this space so charming and beautiful is the forest. That said, the forest is home to an abundance of wildlife, reptiles and insects. We use no pesticide and do actively engage with birds. Although the suite is thoroughly cleaned between guests, you may still see little critters who pass through. If you are critter-squeamish, this may not be the place for you. ;o)~

While other cities have designated “gay” neighborhoods, Raleigh as a whole strives to be inclusive to everybody. Most shops and restaurants downtown accommodate people from all walks of life. Additionally, all through Raleigh, there are stores, restaurants, and pubs that cater particularly to our LGBTQ friends.

Hungry? We are just a leisurely stroll away from Dos Taquitos Mexican, Casa Carbonne Italian, O’Malley’s Irish Pub, The Peddler Steakhouse, Panera Bread, First Watch, Starbucks and others.

Just at the end of the street is Local Fresh Ice Cream. This is the happening place in the neighborhood and they even offer many dairy-free options as well.

On our street you can access the trailhead to the greenway which offers over 100 miles of trails.

We are happy and adventurous nomads who take paths less travelled. We love to seek out natural sights and live "as if a local". Our journeys have taken us to: The Philippines, Belgium, Italy, Iraq, Croatia, Netherlands, Thailand, Cambodia, Afghanistan, France, Yemen, Germany, Slovakia, Oman, U.A.E., Texas (yes - Texas used to be it’s own republic!). And the list is growing... We are avid cooks and so enjoy gastronomic adventures. On our wish-list are olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting tours in Italy. 2019 update - did that! We love to support local artists and usually bring back an artistic treasure from each locale. We are clean, quiet, respectful guests and hosts. Because we do so much exploring, a room to us is a safe place to store our suitcases and a comfortable bed to restore for the following day's adventures. Prefer close to public transit, where available and possible. Would love to meet up with you somewhere in the world! Cheers from the Vaughan's!
