Location

Hillsborough, New Brunswick, Canada

This dreamy retreat is located just a 5-minute drive from Hillsborough. Once there Cinnamon Soul Cafe is a must-visit. You can also try some delicious meals at the Railway Diner, the Hillsborough Restaurant or some Italian food at Rocco's Cucina. There are a couple of bars and Hillsborough is home to the Albert County Chamber of Commerce, the historic New Brunswick Railway Museum and the Hon. William Henry Steeves House Museum.

With beautiful rural scenery, rolling hills, and country charm, Hillsborough is a small historical village only 25 minutes from Moncton. Local businesses include restaurants and cafes, a golf course, farmers market, museums, and artisans. It takes only a 15-minute drive to the famous Hopewell Rocks and a 50-minute drive to the quaint fishing village of Alma, Cape Enrage and the famous Fundy National Park.

Experience the world’s highest tides – not to mention pristine forests, deluxe campgrounds and a taste of Atlantic Canada culture – at Fundy National Park. Paddle in a kayak as the waters rise up to 12 meters or more. Walk the otherworldly sea floor at low tide. Or venture inland where trails lead to waterfalls deep in Acadian forests. With unique camping options – including yurts – and even regular music performances, Fundy is a Maritime treasure.

At low tide, park visitors can explore the ocean floor where a variety of sea creatures (e.g., dog whelk, periwinkles, various seaweeds) cling to life. At high tide, the ocean floor disappears under 15 m (50 ft)of saltwater. Park amenities include a golf course, a heated saltwater swimming pool, three campgrounds, and a network of over 100 km of hiking and biking trails.[2] During the winter, Fundy National Park is available for day use, at one's own risk. Visitors use the park to go cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, tobogganing, and winter walking. The cross-country ski trails are groomed by the local Chignecto Ski Club. The Dobson Trail and Fundy Footpath extend out of the park to Riverview and to St. Martins respectively. A unique red-painted covered bridge is located at Point Wolfe.
