Elevated, private, light and sunny 1 bedroom apartment, close to beaches and river.
It has everything you need - an immaculate bedroom with air conditioning, ensuite with toiletries, open plan living and dining area, kitchenette with induction stovetop.
A good range of breakfast products are provided for you.
The private courtyard is the perfect little space to sit and enjoy a drink.

The space
* Access this beautiful space via your own entrance
* Driveway parking.
* Reverse cycle aircon
* Bluetooth speaker, Wifi, 40" smart TV, Netflix etc.
* Enjoy privacy, gorgeous tree top views, lots of birdsong and a view of the Byron Bay lighthouse beam at night.

On a clear day you can see the ocean and lighthouse from the kitchen window, every night you can hear the crashing of the ocean!

The bedroom has a
medium firm queen bed with gorgeous feather topper and french flax linen or beautiful 100% cotton designs; with your aircon set to the perfect temperature, you will have the best sleep imaginable! Also provided is a comfortable corner chair and a suitcase stand tucked behind it.

The bedside lamps have USB ports to charge your devices.

If you leave the bedroom door open, the aircon will flow across nicely into the living area. There is also a fan if it's needed.

The ensuite bathroom has a toilet, shower and handbasin with an antique mirror and shower gel, liquid soap, shampoo and conditioner .

All bed linen and bath towels as well as 2 beach towels are supplied.

The living area is spacious with ample space to stretch out for both of you on the couch, a hardwood coffee table, dining table and benches, 40"TV and books. It's a lovely space to relax with plenty of light, windows and sea breezes. There is a full length mirror on the inside of the cupboard and shelves and hanging space with coat hangers for your clothes and bags.

With the elevated position, nobody can see in. At night you will see the lighthouse beam sweeping around from the picturesque cottage windows.

We supply tea and coffee with a coffee plunger as well as cereals, milk, bread, local honey and other spreads, crockery, utensils and cutlery. There is a small functional kitchenette with a medium size fridge, ceramic electric cooktop, microwave, kettle, toaster and sandwich press/waffle maker. In a lower cupboard you will find saucepans, pans and other kitchen essentials.
The kitchen cupboard is stocked with cooking basics such as oil, S&P, sugar etc.

Outdoor space - you can sit on a wicker chair in your entrance or enjoy a drink in your private courtyard. There is a 3x3m umbrella for shade. This area is only for guests and is not accessed by the home owners. Please advise if you will need an ashtray as we are fine with you smoking out here.

Please note that we are in a quiet residential street and although we are not located right on top of our neighbours, we do respect their right to peace and quiet. We ask that you keep noise to a minimum after 9pm. We are positioned on a hill with one next door neighbour lower and the other neighbour slightly higher. If the wind is up, you may hear voices carry up the hill but this is very rare.

We share one wall with your apartment and from time to time you may hear us and we may hear you; we are fine with this. We live quietly but you may hear a bark occasionally as we have 3 dogs - 2 pugs and a 3 legged bull arab.
We trust you will have a peaceful stay; if at any time this is not the case, please let us know. Our dogs are kept in the back where we reside so they won't be in your space; any dog lovers of course are welcome to meet them!
We do use the garden area (which is to the side and underneath of your apartment) to enter and exit our property. Your entrance is the driveway at the front and nobody will use this except you.

As we are on a hill, after you've parked in the driveway you will need to walk up a ramp with a handrail to your apartment. The distance is about 10 metres. When you reach it there is one step and then 4 more stairs until you are at the front door.

Guest parking is provided on the left side of the driveway.

Ocean Shores, New South Wales, Australia

We are 3 mins drive or 20 minutes walk to the beach. We are 25 minutes from Byron Bay and 15 minutes from the quaint Mullumbimby town, our personal favourite! It's a 3 minute drive to a funky little local cafe and 7 minutes to the local shops to stock up on groceries.

This is the perfect area to be away from the tourist hustle bustle yet close to beautiful beaches, cafes, restaurants, markets, mountains and so much more.

Apart from buses at Festival time, there is no public transport around here so a car is advisable.

We are 30 minutes from Gold Coast airport, close to pristine beaches and rivers for swimming. We also back onto a nature reserve and you can enter a peaceful bush walking track close to our home.

Three minutes away is Marshall's Creek which is safe for swimming. Cool off here and then cross over the road and sit outside in your swimmers at the Yum Yum Tree community cafe's outside tables for a meal, snack or drink. Relaxed and casual is how we like it here!

At the surf beach 3 minutes away we often watch dolphins playing not far from the mainland in the early morning.

Mrs Birdy's cafe is a local favourite close by, and they serve fresh nutritious delicious cafe style food.

The New Brighton farmers market is on every Tuesday morning just a few minutes drive or an easy bike ride away, and the Mullum Farmers market is on every Friday morning in Mullumbimby. Stock up on delicious freshly harvested fruit and vegetables whilst you chat to the farmers! There are other farmers and arts and crafts markets on every weekend throughout the shire.

The small tourist beach town of Brunswick Heads is 6 minutes away and offers beach and river swimming, cafes and restaurants, a fantastic pub for all the family with live music and lots of interesting shops to browse. You can hire kayaks and stand up paddle boards here too.

The 'Biggest little town in Australia', Mullumbimby, better known as "Mullum', is 15 minutes drive away. Mullum is known as the centre of alternative culture in the Byron Shire and it lies at the foot of Mt Chincogan. There is a special magical culture and a very real sense of community in this little town and it's well worth visiting.

Take an easy drive to Byron Bay (25 minutes) and discover all Byron has to offer. Restaurants, pubs, beach, music, buskers, backpackers, people watching, the lighthouse walk/drive to the most easterly point in Australia. Please note that Byron Bay is very busy most of the year these days and in high season the traffic getting into it can go at a snail's pace! It is 28 km's from us but a 25 minute drive can take much longer at times.

Whether you want to kayak with dolphins, whale watch, shop, have a massage spa treatment or just immerse yourself in alternative therapies arts and crafts, The Byron Shire offers it all.

We consider ourselves perfectly placed for those who want to be close to the tourist towns but would like a peaceful place to relax at the end of the day.
Our local beaches are also not crowded!
