Located at Dudmaston Stud in beautiful rural Shropshire, the Horse Lovers retreat is a perfect getaway for anyone looking to escape from city life for a weekend or longer. Our custom built shepherd's hut is situated right in the heart of our 37 acre farm, which boasts stunning views of the Shropshire countryside. Nearby attractions include Dudmaston Hall and woods, Kinver Edge, Bridgnorth vertical railway and the Shropshire Sheepwalks.

The space
The Horse Lovers retreat is located on a working stud farm so the facilities are somewhat rustic, though guests have access to a bathroom and shower next to the shepherd's hut. The shepherds hut has a kettle, toaster and a hotplate.

We're lucky enough to be quite isolated so the neighbourhood is largely made of horses, sheep and various other farm animals, though here is a local country pub and an Italian restaurant located within a 2 minute drive (15 minute walk) and a local farm shop and cafe less than 10 minutes drive away.

During your stay
We live on the farm so we will be about frequently during the stay. We also host equine training events at certain points in the year meaning the farm may be busier during the day on some weekends. Please also don't be alarmed if you wake up to find a lamb wandering about on the yard, his name is Benjamin and he is very friendly just prone to escaping.
