The Old Chapel Cottage is located 4 miles from the historic town of Ludlow. It is being built and opened on 1st Oct 2020. Spectacular views over the valley and up to Mortimer Forest. We offer a private retreat on North Herfordshire border. Compact and cosy with all modern facilities, it is ideally suited to a couple looking for a special retreat close to Ludlow. We cater for 1 child up to age of 12. Close to many places to visit, enjoy and spend time relaxing and enjoying rural life.

Where you’ll be

Richards Castle, England, United Kingdom

Richards Castle ruin was one of three castles built some 45 years before William the Conqueror arrived in UK so we are surrounded by history. The property is easily found and some 4 miles from Ludlow and 7 miles from Leominster. There are numerous gastro pubs in the area. Ludlow is famous for its eateries, shops and numerous fairs and markets based on the famous Ludlow Castle. Ludlow racecourse and a number of National Trust properties are close by as well as the world famous Mortimer Forest with spectacular hiking and mountain biking both short and long. With easy access to North Wales as well as the Shropshire Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this is a lovely area for breaks short and long. There are numerous things to do in Shropshire and Herefordshire as well as the hills and beauty of Wales only a few miles away.
