Exclusive use of the Chalet set in a peaceful location with superb views of the surrounding countryside, 10min from Totnes. A comfortable place to relax, an ideal base to explore the coast, Dartmoor & the alternative culture of Totnes. With access to our secluded garden (with optional hot tub @£25/day).

The space

Situated in a secluded garden with it’s own entrance from the Devon lane and adjacent the open countryside, the timber chalet has an unusual and beautiful design, with stained glass, interestingly shaped windows, wooden floors and walls in natural oil finish.
Sitting comfortably in the large lounge/diner, looking over the Dart valley towards Dartmoor and at Hood Ball (one of the local hills, an ancient volcanic plug), visitors report feeling touched by a sense of relaxation and peace.
The rest of the accommodation comprises: a galley style kitchen, a bathroom with a lovely shower and a double and a twin bedroom.
The owner's cottage is close by so info and help is available if needed. We have our own borehole water supply which is UV treated (and so unchlorinated) and really delicious to drink.
Please note the hot tub (currently outside on the lawn) is available at an extra £25/day for your exclusive use (min 2 days and pre-booking is essential at the time of initial accommodation enquiry). We use oxygen based water treatment.

Lovely peaceful location and beautiful little chalet. We really enjoyed our stay here. Close to lots of things to see and do and Dartmoor for walks. Parking was really convenient and the hot tub was lovely on an evening. We have family in the area so that made a great base for visiting and we would definitely stay again on future visits.

This was the ideal venue for us, near Beara Farm camping where more of our family were staying, Totnes, country walks and Riverford farm shop. The garden was peaceful and secluded and we enjoyed the hot tub. We were very lucky with the hot, dry weather, which possibly made all the difference - we wondered if it might be cold in the chalet at other times! For the 4 of us, plus baby it was fine for 3 nights, but the kitchen facilities would have been challenging for longer (no oven, washing machine or sieve/colander.). Take easy to slip on outdoor shoes to go in and out of the chalet, e.g. to the hot tub as shoes are not allowed in the sitting area.

Restful stay I had a lovely stay at the chalet with my husband and step son, it’s a very restful place with everything we needed. We had a few family friends over one evening and there is plenty of space in the lounge for several people to have something to eat. The kitchen is well stocked with equipment and the shower is excellent, easy to use. I think we did feel the larger of the two rooms would be better suited to being the double room, (though I understand it can be used as a twin room) my step son had a lot of room whereas we were a little cozy. But having said that we would be very keen to return. The garden is lovely, a great space to relax in, with a fire pit if you wanted to some l fresco dining. It is a very private space but you may see the owners husband walking through as he uses the caravan to the left of the property, this didn’t bother us in the slightest though. All in all, I’d really recommend it for somewhere different to stay at get away from it all. There is wifi, but the TV only works for DVD’s – again we actually found this to be a bonus.
