Wake up to the beautiful light surrounded by wilderness and sip your coffee while watching deer, elk, ravens, moose, black bears, coyotes and horses graze the farmer’s fields nearby. Wind down with the beautiful sunset over the mountains every night. Newly refurbished, this is a one of a kind stay with modern amenities in a cozy rustic log cabin located on a working regenerative agriculture farm.

The space
Tall Timber cabin was built in 2006 and was the first building on our 160 acre farm. It has large south facing windows that brighten the beautiful warm tones of the natural logs and keeps the interior light and airy. The bedroom is located in a loft with the best view in the house of the valley and mountains beyond. The bathroom boasts plenty of space and a heated tile floor. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a washer dryer combo unit for use. Enjoy the peace and quiet of rural living and let nature entertain you. Say hi to the occasional grazing horse, curious farm dog and even curiouser farm cat, and relax while watching the local birds enjoy their habitat.

Celebrate each season with access to walking, hiking, biking, skiing and snowshoe trails and the busy nature of our working farm. This cabin retreat provides rest and relaxation, just as nature intended.

Where you’ll be

Charlie Lake, British Columbia, Canada

Charlie Lake is located 10 minutes outside of Fort St John and located roughly 10 minutes off of the Alaska Highway (the Alcan). Our road is rural and mostly gravel, so please expect changes to driving conditions when weather is bad. The cabin is located a mile from the Peace River and we will provide maps of walking, hiking, biking, skiing and snowshoe trails to explore. We are surrounded by farmer's fields and pasture, so we do ask that you respect fences.

Just a couple of farmers taking care of our children, critters and the earth one day at a time. I run our regenerative farm full-time and my husband is an environmental consultant. We love our property and wanted to share it with others.
