In the Canadian Rockies hamlet of Exshaw (12 min to Canmore) a modern 2nd storey 1 queen bedroom suite and kitchen/living area and a queen murphy bed makes this the perfect place to stay for 1-3 people (or 4 if kids). Stroll the Bow River, hike, ski or ride your mountain bike right out the door. Exshaw has family parks, an outdoor rink, a corner store with liquor, a restaurant, a legion pub and a great library. This is a unique place and a great deal compared to Canmore and Banff! (DP#36/19)

The space
Pigeon Mountain B&B is great for a family-friendly mountain experience, (without breaking the bank, like you would in Canmore and Banff!)
A year round play ground, we are a bird watcher's paradise close to ski hills, groomed x-country ski trails, world class mountain biking, provincial and national parks and just 45 min from Calgary. Walk bare foot with in-floor heating and floor to ceiling windows. Eat in using the new fully-equipped modern kitchen (stove, oven, full fridge, dishwasher, large island) or check out one of the Bow Valleys many fine restaurants and cap the day off with a bbq or campfire in our backyard! The fridge/cupboards have means to make yourself a light breakfast: there's bread in the freezer, assorted fruit, yoghurt, cereals, oats, milk, cream, and coffee/tea.

There are great places to explore in Exshaw. There are four directions to explore and community walking/biking trails literally out the door.

If we chat in advance, your host may be available at a fee, for grocery shopping. As well, Sue is an experienced wilderness family guide (ACMG certified hiking/snowshoeing guide) - inquire by email if you're interested - she's lived here a mighty long time and loves to explore with new folks. Lastly, if you stick around, laundry facilities may be available upon arrangement.

Guest access
Please park below your suite in the back alley to the EAST of Pigeon Mt. Drive. Your private suite is above the garage. Please park NEXT to the camper, PLEASE don't block the garage. Check out the fire pit and go up the rear exterior stairs in front of you. Your door is to the right.

Other things to note
Guests need to walk up stairs to access the suite. Not easily suitable for those with walking challenges. (We have elderly visitors, but they need able bodied help with the stairs.)
We have a pillow top for the murphy bed, inquire if you'd like it.
