Enlighten your sense of beauty staying at this homestead of a 120 yr old beautiful red barn. The guest mini barn is also on the property and that is where you will stay. The property is a working wholesale nursery that is chucked full of wonderful plant and vintage treasures throughout. The mini barn is made of vintage barn wood complete with a queen Murphy bed, compost toilet, running water, heat and electricity. Lots to do in the country. Biking, hiking, swimming, shopping and so much more.

The space
You will be staying in a vintage mini barn that was built from all vintage repurposed material and furnished with a table, 4 chairs, double Murphy bed, Euro quality inflatable queen bed(if needed), refrig, sink w/cold running water, electric fireplace heater and a wall heater. The bed is furnished with a new foam mattress and sheets, pillows and blankets. You will occasionally here roosters crowing, trucks going by the main road. If you need complete quiet that is probably not going to happen here. We do have ear plugs if you need them. We strive to make this cabin as perfect as can be but sometimes it isn't to your ideal comfort. Firewood/kindling is furnished free for the shade garden fire pit. Also no charge for dogs.

Guest access
Guests are welcome to tour the 1 acre nursery, the display gardens, water features and a beautiful shade garden that is part of the Mini Barn that is the bldg that you will stay in. There is a sitting area with plenty of shade when it's warm outside and the fragrance of a large Sequoia and rock garden to enjoy also.

Other things to note
There are many events that happen in this historic logging town..Vernonia. If you're into hiking, biking, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, horseback riding, Vernonia offers all of that. Our 5 restaurants furnish some excellent food. We have two grocery stores. Gas and diesel are available also at the mini mart. There is a horse arena and wonderful restrooms that have paid showers for your convenience. You can sit in the beautiful shade garden or display gardens and just unwind or take a stroll of our darling town. It's a Norman Rockwell kind of experience :-)

This is a slow paced area and nothing like what happens in the Metro area. There is very little crime. We have a 5 person police dept. that keeps everything on the up and up. There are 3 full service pubs that serve great food. Also there are several specialty brew coffee spots.

During your stay
Since this is a working wholesale nursery I will be out and about working in the greenhouse, watering, mowing yard or pulling weeds. I do like to visit but want you to spend your time on yourself. I'm more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
