Based right in the heart of Tel Aviv, this double room (with its own bathroom) is in our family home, which is spread over 145 square meters on the 3rd floor of a Bauhaus building overlooking the park. We are a gay male couple with a 4 year old boy.
The room is inside our apartment - which is our family home. There are three of us in our family... we are a gay couple, and have a five year old son. There is a VERY warm, friendly and family atmosphere in our apartment, our friends and neighbours come and go all the time - is a cool and happening hangout in the centre of town - come join us! We very much enjoy having visitors in our home! Sometimes our house is quiet (sometimes VERY quiet), and sometimes it's not! Its a social place. Especially between 5;45 and 8:30 pm, when our son is around, playing with friends and getting ready for bed, the place can be lively....! Every 2nd Friday night, we have a big dinner with around 25 family and friends who join us, this is between 8 and 11 on Friday evenings - you are INVITED if you around when we're having a famous 'Sammy and Dan' dinner!
This is a double bedroom which opens onto our balcony. The apartment is newly renovated, with everything new!
The room includes a double bed, bed side tables (with drawers for you to use), a TV - with full cable (YES service), with over 100 channels, including MANY English speaking programmes, channels and shows (CNN, BBC, SKY, CBS). There is also a dedicated DVD player in the room.
There are french sliding doors, which lead out onto the balcony, which have long flowing curtains in front of them. There is the option to put up and down electric BLACK OUT blinds, for complete darkness in the room.
In addition to the air conditioning unit, there is also a ceiling fan, for those who prefer not to sleep with the aircon on!
There is a modern 'retro' (brand new) record player, which plays 11" records, and has a jack port to plug smart phone and other MP3 devises into.
There is a wi-fi service in the apartment which you are welcome to use. We will give you the password on arrival.
The is a small coffee station in the room itself... this includes a fab Nesspresso machine, a milk frother, a flask of cold milk, and a water filter machine provide cool and boiling water.
There is an empty slimline closet with shelves for you to use with plenty of space for folding clothes. In the closet is a collection of toiletries, in case you have forgotten anything - feel free to reasonably use anything you need!
There is a hairdryer in the room and additional towels and blankets should you need.
There is an Italian designer vertical bookcase, with a collection of books (including novels, coffee table books and tourist guides) for you to read while you're with us.
The apartment is quite large (145 meters) - we have a lounge/kitchen area, our bedroom, an office room, our son's room AND of course... the guest room. As well as a main bathroom (our bedroom and the guest room have their own en-suite toilet and shower rooms).
Guests have access to the bedroom they are renting (the double guest room) and the kitchen/lounge area and balcony.
Guests may cook in our kitchen and use what ever cooking utensils we have (which is pretty extensive)! You are also invited to eat with us - whenever we are eating!
Breakfast is included (but not served - you help yourself!) to fresh fruit, tea, coffee and home made granola - you may also help yourself to salad items, and to egg!
Our little boy (Eddie) is very friendly, and loves to get to know all our guests!
You obviously have your own key and can come and go WHENEVER you want, its fine to come and go at all hours of the day and night - it wont disturb us!
Interaction with guests
We can have as much or as little interaction as you want! You are in our home... so our natural instincts are to welcome you, and include you in whatever we're doing if you want to join in. We'll invite you to eat with us if your around while we're eating, we'll even invite you to cafe with us on a Saturday morning!!
You can sit with us in the lounge and join in our (delightful) conversation and drink coffee (or wine) with us, or you can be more reserved and spend time in your space (after all... the room has everything you'll need). We will love you just as much - either way!
Every second Friday night, we have quite a large dinner in the apartment with 20 - 30 friends and family... if its happening whilst you're with us - then you're invited!
