Based right in the heart of Tel Aviv, this double room (with its own bathroom) is in our family home, which is spread over 145 square meters on the 3rd floor of a Bauhaus building overlooking the park. We are a gay male couple with a 4 year old boy.

The space

The room is inside our apartment - which is our family home. There are three of us in our family... we are a gay couple, and have a five year old son. There is a VERY warm, friendly and family atmosphere in our apartment, our friends and neighbours come and go all the time - is a cool and happening hangout in the centre of town - come join us! We very much enjoy having visitors in our home! Sometimes our house is quiet (sometimes VERY quiet), and sometimes it's not! Its a social place. Especially between 5;45 and 8:30 pm, when our son is around, playing with friends and getting ready for bed, the place can be lively....! Every 2nd Friday night, we have a big dinner with around 25 family and friends who join us, this is between 8 and 11 on Friday evenings - you are INVITED if you around when we're having a famous 'Sammy and Dan' dinner!

This is a double bedroom which opens onto our balcony. The apartment is newly renovated, with everything new!

The room includes a double bed, bed side tables (with drawers for you to use), a TV - with full cable (YES service), with over 100 channels, including MANY English speaking programmes, channels and shows (CNN, BBC, SKY, CBS). There is also a dedicated DVD player in the room.

There are french sliding doors, which lead out onto the balcony, which have long flowing curtains in front of them. There is the option to put up and down electric BLACK OUT blinds, for complete darkness in the room.

In addition to the air conditioning unit, there is also a ceiling fan, for those who prefer not to sleep with the aircon on!

There is a modern 'retro' (brand new) record player, which plays 11" records, and has a jack port to plug smart phone and other MP3 devises into.

There is a wi-fi service in the apartment which you are welcome to use. We will give you the password on arrival.

The is a small coffee station in the room itself... this includes a fab Nesspresso machine, a milk frother, a flask of cold milk, and a water filter machine provide cool and boiling water.

There is an empty slimline closet with shelves for you to use with plenty of space for folding clothes. In the closet is a collection of toiletries, in case you have forgotten anything - feel free to reasonably use anything you need!

There is a hairdryer in the room and additional towels and blankets should you need.

There is an Italian designer vertical bookcase, with a collection of books (including novels, coffee table books and tourist guides) for you to read while you're with us.

Guest access

The apartment is quite large (145 meters) - we have a lounge/kitchen area, our bedroom, an office room, our son's room AND of course... the guest room. As well as a main bathroom (our bedroom and the guest room have their own en-suite toilet and shower rooms).

Guests have access to the bedroom they are renting (the double guest room) and the kitchen/lounge area and balcony.

Guests may cook in our kitchen and use what ever cooking utensils we have (which is pretty extensive)! You are also invited to eat with us - whenever we are eating!

Breakfast is included (but not served - you help yourself!) to fresh fruit, tea, coffee and home made granola - you may also help yourself to salad items, and to egg!

Our little boy (Eddie) is very friendly, and loves to get to know all our guests!

You obviously have your own key and can come and go WHENEVER you want, its fine to come and go at all hours of the day and night - it wont disturb us!

Interaction with guests

We can have as much or as little interaction as you want! You are in our home... so our natural instincts are to welcome you, and include you in whatever we're doing if you want to join in. We'll invite you to eat with us if your around while we're eating, we'll even invite you to cafe with us on a Saturday morning!!

You can sit with us in the lounge and join in our (delightful) conversation and drink coffee (or wine) with us, or you can be more reserved and spend time in your space (after all... the room has everything you'll need). We will love you just as much - either way!

Every second Friday night, we have quite a large dinner in the apartment with 20 - 30 friends and family... if its happening whilst you're with us - then you're invited!

We had a nice stay at Sammys and Dans apartment. They are very friendly and outgoing people and available for questions and help most of the time. Their son Eddie is a super cute kid and has a great english accent :-) They also invite you to be part of the local live and invite you to their Saturday breakfast "ritual" or Sabbath dinner if you are there these days. We joined for breakfast on Saturday and it was a lovely experience. The room is as advertised with a private bathroom and acces to the balcony. You have your own Nespresso Machine and Water system (filtered and cooled or heated tab water) which is nice. They also provide breakfast. The location is perfect to discover Tel Aviv. Tis is as much in the center as possible. There are however few things that made me give "only" for stars. First there is a dogpark outside the house and people are walking dogs there nonstop (all through the night). We stayed there for a whole week and after two or three days the barking gets rather irritating. Also the bathroom has windows that open into the office. They are near the ceiling so you cant close them which makes it a little uncomfortable to use the bathroom once someone is in the office. When we arrived Sammy, Dan and Eddie were on vacation in Cyprus. Therefor we expected that there would be no one in the apartment until they come back. However the first morning a women came into the apartment unannounced, talking on the phone and went into the office. After ten or fifteen minutes she was finished with the call and introduced herself as the assistant. We felt it would have been nice to be notified that someone would come into the apartment. But all in all we enjoyed our stay at Sammys place.

Our trip to Tel Aviv was unforgettable! Much because of the BEAUTIFUL, super stylish and comfortable apartment we stayed at! This place was exactly as shown in pictures and even better! It actually felt as a themed boutique hotel. The room was really AMAZING, with a private washroom, very comfy bed, tv with hundreds of channels, a lot of cool books you can choose from, Nespresso machine and a water filter/cooler. We had everything we ever needed and more! The location is EVERYTHING, located at the heart of Tel Aviv, just 5 minutes to Dizengoff Centre which is an awesome mall, 10 minutes to the beach, and has a bus station nearby with frequent buses to every other part of Tel Aviv! And maybe the most important part that made our stay as amazing as it was, are Sammy and Dan, who were literally the dream hosts that every Airbnb user would love! So nice and outgoing, helpful and friendly, with the most cute kid I've ever met! In conclusion; most recommended place to stay at while in Tel Aviv!

Sammy is a super host. He touched base with us 24 hours before our scheduled arrival to make sure that we have all the information to get to his home, which is quite central and easy to get to by public transit from Ben Gurion Airport. The room was exactly how it was descrbed in the profile. Sammy was attentive and helpful in giving us bearings about Tel Aviv, not to mention that his family was fun to visit with.

The room, etc was very comfortable and as advertised. Sammy, Danny (and their son Eddy) are wonderful hosts, making you feel welcome, like you are staying with old friends. They were very helpful in suggesting places to go, calling taxis, etc and very gracious in showing off their local hangouts. I would definitely hope to stay there again on future visits.

When we arrived we felt like we were stepping into a beautiful, professional B&B with our great little space in the back. The listing is in a very convenient location, set beside a nice park with activities. The breakfast left out for us was such a nice gesture, including the coffee machine in the room. Very clean and enjoyed meeting the hosts and their little guy. Overall, went well beyond our expectations!
