HONEYMOON RETREAT 20 FEET FROM OCEAN - Casa Artista is a hideaway at the edge of the jungle by the bay in Yelapa, Mexico. It's a tile roofed unique casita surrounded by beautiful gardens of tropical plants & under large trees full of birds. Small but adequate for 1 or two people who prefer "off the beaten path". This year we have added a ceiling fan, a thick foam mattress, and a new coat of paint. We have also decreased our rates to reflect the slower season.

The space
Close to the ocean, small quaint with a ceiling fan, tiled bath, basic kitchen facilities: hot plate, mini fridge, coffee maker, utensils, towels, mosquito net, tiled bathroom, and a hot shower. We have a friendly lady by the name of Marina who makes sure your casita is clean and in good condition. The kitchen facilities are very minimal but adequate if you are not planning to do a lot of cooking. There is a coffee maker and hot plate with dinnerware. Perfect for the laid-back traveller who prefers a rustic get-away over a sterile resort.

Guest access
There is a large shared garden area that you can sit in, and also an outdoor patio area.

Other things to note
How to get to Yelapa: WATER TAXI FROM VALLARTA! see more info below

First: Please be advised we do NOT have ATM's in Yelapa. Get Pesos from any ATM in Puerto Vallarta (except the airport, very low exchange rate)

From Puerto Vallarta airport (airport code: PVR): Take the airport taxi (booth is on the left inside the airport when you come out after customs) WATER TAXI TO YELAPA :Tell the driver to take you to the Los Muertos pier to take a water taxi to Yelapa to the Playita pier in the village by Cafe Bahia.
Follow the cobble stone path on the right behind the Cafe Bahia go to the left at the end of the main path toward "the point". Then you will see a long adobe stucco wall, and on the left just walk 3 more doors to find our casitas or ask anybody for Cristobol and Antonia (Chris & Anton)

Neighbourhood highlights

Very special nice neighborhood and not too far of a walk to most restaurants and small grocery stores. Our Casita is at the end of the cobbled path. The Yelapa small moto jeeps can't drive past the end of the cobble path, so our houses are quieter than some closer to the center of town.
