The space
Dear Guests,
We are open during the Covid-19 time. The Hobbit House offers seclusion and privacy and lots of space. We are on a mountain surrounded by nature.
Our cleaning regime is already very strict during normal times, but especially now we are taking great care to wash, disinfect and clean everything thoroughly between stays.

We hope you find the hobbit house unlike any other that you have entered. When you're not nestled up by the hearth enjoying a book or board game you can enjoy the hundreds of surrounding acres with hiking and exploring. If you wish to cook your own food we offer a small fridge, microwave and an outdoor grill weather permitting. Our guests can enjoy a purely unplugged experience or bring your tablets and any other sources of entertainment as we offer no TV or WiFi.

There are hundreds of acres and backcountry to explore by hiking, or just a beautiful place to switch off, unwind and become hobbits for the duration of your stay.

Most of your neighbors you will have already passed coming up the 3.2 km paved road. This is a large secluded ranch with ample wildlife in the area. We are a short 25 minute drive to the Mt Baldy Ski resort, 15 minutes from Rock Creek and the Kettle river. The Kettle River is an amazing river for fly fishing or floating down to cool off in the warmer months. We are surrounded by many high mountain lakes and creeks and just 30 minutes from the wine capital of British Columbia, where you will find an abundance of wineries, distilleries, restaurants, golf, beach access and much more.

I have been a photographer for almost 16 years which allowed me to travel extensively and meet many different people and cultures. Now I really enjoy being in one place, at home with my husband. We are ranching together raising grass fed cattle. I like gardening and to spend time with our animals, and I am really excited to be your new host for the Mountain Hobbit Hideaway.
