Spacious and charming 5 bdrm (3 queens, 3 singles), 2 full baths. Wifi and Smart TV. Full kitchen, washer and dryer, and outdoor seating. Located on the White Fence Ranch where the buffalo roam. Hiking trails nearby along with minutes to Evergreen Lake and historic Evergreen downtown.

The space
The White Fence Ranch was built in 1921 and is now owned by Ron and Carol Lewis who have lived nearby for the past 60 years. Gene and Amy Lewis now manage the property and live right next door. They are happy to share their favorite local spots with you....just ask. The Ranch is also home to Laddie, Cassie, and Blondie the three horses that you will see out the kitchen window along with Tonka and Nola the ranch dogs who live in the private basement apartment of the house with Jaymee Lewis. The home itself was built by a mason and you will see his craftsmanship in the rock walls and beautiful rock porch. The home offers you a kitchen with plates, silverware, glasses, coffee maker and all the cooking supplies you would need to make a family dinner. There is a washer and dryer, a large family room with a built in bar, and plenty of rooms for a few families to stay together. Please keep in mind that events and parties are not permitted while at The White Fence Ranch. Evergreen gives you a feel of being away from the hustle and bustle of the city but don't let that make you think there are not things to do. Flying J Ranch Park Trailhead is only 2 miles away and allows you to hike or mountain bike. Evergreen Lake is only 4.5 miles away and offers fishing, canoeing, paddle boarding, and paddle boats along with a trail to walk around the lake or a park to let the kids play in. Downtown Evergreen offers a wide variety of eateries along with several local breweries and is also home to the infamous Little Bear (if you don't know just ask Gene or Amy). We are a short distance to Red Rocks amphitheater which Amy thinks should be on your bucket list to see a concert at but if not a concert then at least go for a hike. The White Fence Ranch is the perfect place if you just are looking for a mountain get away but still want to be close to the city. If you would like a private tour of the wildlife and The Barn at Evergreen Memorial Park please talk to Gene and Amy beforehand regarding pricing and availability.

Where you’ll be

Evergreen, Colorado, United States

Did you know that Evergreen dates back to 1859 when a group of families came to settle here and form a ranching community? In 1928 the dam was built allowing the formation of Evergreen Lake. It is a great family spot to visit while you are here. Right across the meadow from The White Fence Ranch is Evergreen Memorial Park. Ron Lewis, the founder and his wife Carol have collected historically important artifacts and antiques of the Old West which are displayed throughout the property. The land you see around you is used as a private animal ranch where you will find elk, fallow deer, bison and yak, along with a few goats and chickens.

I am a mom to three and Mimi to 4 (so far!!). My husband and I live in the meadow he grew up in on land where the “Buffalo roam”. We love Evergreen and feel blessed to live and work in this community.
