Location

Wasaga Beach, Ontario, Canada

Wasaga Beach is a Canadian town at the southern end of Ontario's Georgian Bay. Its long, sandy beach lies on Nottawasaga Bay, with views of the rugged Niagara Escarpment. It’s known for canoe routes on the winding Nottawasaga River. Nancy Island Historic Site, near the river’s mouth, commemorates the War of 1812. Footpaths and cycle trails crisscross Wasaga Beach Provincial Park, home to native wildlife.

Wasaga Beach has been long hailed as one of the premier tourist destinations in Ontario. For over a century tourists have travelled to the welcoming shores of Nottawasaga Bay, to stroll along 14 kilometres of white sand beach, swim in warm, clean waters and enjoy the panoramic mountain views across the Bay.

Wasaga Beach offers an excellent variety of accommodations and restaurant choices. Special events are planned almost every weekend and evening entertainment abounds. Perhaps the best kept secret in Wasaga Beach is the endless recreation trails for hiking, cycling, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. The trails provide easy access to key points of interest, yet only a few feet away you are once again lost in the beauty of the sand dune system and abundantly forested landscape. Bring your camera, your sports gear and sense of discovery - the trail system is unforgettable!

For those wanting a change from land-based activities, try casting your rod in the Nottawasaga River for some magnificent game fishing or jumping out of a plane if it’s a thrill that you are seeking. There are also boat rentals available and great canoe routes to explore.

As well, area is open all year round for winter activities such as snowmobiling, and skiing.

Located on quiet Beach 4, this townhouse is only a 5 minute walk to restaurants. Approximately 1.5 hour drive from GTA area, and 20 minute drive to Collingwood/ Blue Mountain Village. 10 minutes drive from Skull Island Miniature golf and 15 minute drive from Wasaga Adventure Park.

This photo is taken on a desert safari in Dubai, United Arab Emirates while “dune surfing” in a Toyota Land Cruiser! We love to travel as a family and visit new places with new experiences, and try new things. When our children became adults, we needed to book two rooms in a hotel and things became expensive. AirBnB offers a less expensive alternative where the family could stay together and sometimes eat at home like brunch, when we wanted to sleep in. Picking the “right” place and host is important for a good experience. Of course, no place is as good as home and a friendly and hospitable host makes things easier. Welcome to our Bayfront Beach Resort, where we offer the closest access to the world’s largest freshwater beach, heated pool, beachfront fire pit area for the late evening fireside chat and a warm comfortable place to lean back and relax!
