Cathedral ceilings and wall of windows enliven an open plan. Master suite on the main floor & 2 bedrooms upstairs. Cozy for 2 yet functional for larger groups & extended families.
Well-equipped kitchen, huge sundeck, garden, wood stove, BBQ, laundry, and hot tub (9AM to 9PM). We ask that you respect the quiet nature of the neighbourhood when outside

Features of the Annex:
*Great room and loft feature a wall of windows oriented to the gardens & view.
*Contemporary kitchen divided by an angled island provides lots of prep or serving space or place for guests to be part of the cooking action.
*Large master bedroom and ensuite on the main floor enjoy garden and ocean views, a private deck, king-size bed, double shower/sinks and separate tub.
*Two bedrooms upstairs and a second full bathroom offer 1 Queen, and a King/twin split.
*An airy loft provides quiet workspace, views and an upstairs lounge. While away an afternoon watching the marine traffic in the Strait-luxury cruise ships, private yachts, commercial fishers, tugs & barges, kayakers, or Coast Guard hovercraft.
*Entertainment features include 2 large televisions, Optik TV, WiFi, music, games, and books for your enjoyment
*Large deck surrounded by gardens,wraps around the house with BBQ and furnishings to enjoy relaxing, the views, or al fresco dining
*Hot tub to soak in the oceanviews from the front garden and decks(9AM to 9PM)
*A fenced back garden and deck make safe play areas for pets or small children
*Generous laundry room with washer/dryer
*Beach access directly across the street
*Plenty of secure garage space for all your toys and gear. *Parking for your RV or boat trailer too
*Pet and family friendly. Sleeps 2-6. Pricing based on 6 guests. Children including babies and pets count as extra guests. Maximum 2 pets.

**ALL Pets must be pre-approved prior to a confirmed booking. Extra charges apply $32 /pp/night.

Guest access
There is a private carriage house attached to the main residence where our onsite co-host lives as per Provincial STR licensing requirements.

She has her own entrance and does not share any of your amenities or living spaces - you will have the entire main house, gardens and grounds to yourself. She's a local gal and usually says hi and welcomes guests. She can recommend things to see and do in the area.

We also live close by and are available to answer questions, orient you to the house and neighbourhood. Either ourselves or our designated contact will be available by phone or email to answers questions, suggest activities or resolve any issues during your stay.
Ample parking on the property with a locked garage to store bikes, etc.

Other things to note
Our neighbourhood is very quiet and we expect our guests will be respectful of this especially when on the deck or in the hot tub.

Neighbourhood highlights

The Annex is situated on a lovingly landscaped corner lot in a quiet, private neighbourhood directly across from a forested beach access to a private, secluded bay. Note - it is a short but steep trail to the beach. Enjoy the use of our complimentary kayaks. Try your hand at fishing or crabbing.
Sargeant Bay Provincial Park is only a few minutes away with a wide single beach and lots of drift logs for making forts or other creations. It is a locals favourite for hanging out, swimming, beachcombing, , kayaking, picnicking, fishing or nature viewing. The whole area is connected with great hiking and mountain biking trails.
Trout Lake is another great local spot for fresh water swimming and fishing.

We bought the Pointhouse property in Dec 2005 as our future retirement home while we were still residing and working in Dawson Creek, BC. It was a successful vacation rental till Feb 2010 when we began a complete reconstruction of the main house and built a new guesthouse (Aerie) on the bluff above. We made the move to the Sunshine Coast full time in January 2011 living first in the Aerie guesthouse and finally in Jun 2012, the expanded and renovated Pointhouse now a boutique B&B. With the purchase of the Annex in 2016 and completion of our shipping container studio ISO in 2020, our portfolio of luxury accommodations has grown. With the interesting guests from all over the world and a busy schedule of physician locums for Bob, retirement is still a ways off for both of us . Fortunately, life on the coast is a more relaxed pace allowing us more playtime, family time and travel opportunities.
