If you like to cook, you'll love the 3 ovens (including one steam oven), HUGE side-by-side fridge and freezer, outdoor bbq always with an extra tank of propane, wine rack to store your libations, large double sink, dishwasher, and a large walk-in pantry with every kind of cooking pot, pan, utility, bowl, etc that you could possibly need. If you like adventure, you’ll love exploring the shoreline in one of the two included ocean kayaks.

Borden has some of the best beachfront to enjoy! Beautifully cozy shopping areas, including the infamous COW'S Ice Cream shop. Restaurants, Island crafts, artwork, clothing, tourism PEI center, a large playground, and a huge liqour store are just a few of the great things to explore. Just down the road is one of the best seafood market/suppliers you'll find, always helpful and extremely knowledgeable, with fantastic prices! Walking distance from the Blue Heron are 2 gorgeous antique stores.
Summerside is only a 20 minute drive where you'll find all the big-box stores and large grocery chains.

Husband and Wife, Brandi Sherman and Sheldon Stanleigh, became the new owners of The Blue Heron Retreat (BHR) on April 1st, 2020, taking over for The Sutherlands who showed nothing but love and passion for the BHR during their tenure as owners/operators. Brandi and Sheldon have been vacationing at the BHR with their 3 children, and extended family, for 4 years leading up to the purchase, so they have intimate knowledge and understanding of what is expected by you, the guest, and what is expected of them, the owners, to provide. Their love and passion is just the same as the Sutherlands, and their efforts to ensure you have the best vacation spot to enjoy will not go unnoticed. Sheldon makes regular trips to the island to personally greet some guests (when available), and to ensure the home and property is always is tip-top shape.
To help protect your payment, always use Airbnb to send money and communicate with hosts.
