This is a fun stopover for travelers commuting along the I-5. Enjoy great views, nearby wineries, swimming holes, hang gliders overhead, and a casual, social Euro-vibe. Just 7 miles away from the cafes and shops of charming Jacksonville.
The Crash Pad is a perfect stopover between Portland and SF and is also a destination unto itself. As one guest put it: " Her home seems to have a magic of it's own...attracting interesting, kind, warm-hearted and road-weary travelers from around the world. Dinner time conversations were fun, the food was great and wine was plentiful." If you are inspired to fly, she can book you a tandem paragliding flight. It's a great way to see the area from above and your pilot will land you at a winery. The place is rustic with elegant touches ("shabby chic" decor). If you like golf-course lawns and wall-to-wall carpeting suburbia, we aren't a match!! But if a house surrounded by sprawling wild roses, carefree energy, and the occasional impromptu dinner parties sounds interesting, you'll be happy here.
light kitchen use is fine!

Other things to note
Though the house tends to be quiet, there are sometimes other guests and friends who want to chat. If you are looking for lots of privacy and your own space, you may be happier elsewhere

I am a paraglider pilot, local wine expert, and travel writer. I spend winter exploring the world and leading writing tours in Morocco, Mexico, and Nepal. Summers are for paragliding, swimming, picking blackberries, and drinking wine here in Applegate Wine Country. I love hosting travelers, so I was born to do AirBnB!
