This custom-built Cedar Bungalow is designed to awaken the senses and to allow Texas' natural beauty to inspire and relax the mind/body/spirit. It's a wonderful place to celebrate, to renew, and to make memories.

Styled like an eco-resort, it is a fusion of cedar walls, oversized windows, unique outside bathroom w/ compost toilet and shower, private side yard with hot tub & fire pit, & magical views from the bed, love seat, hot tub and hammock! Massages not an option at this time.

The space
This beautiful spot for a very unique experience makes for a memorable getaway. From the views to the outdoor shower and hot tub it is simply fun and the hammock is great place to daydream, read a book, or nap.

The inside features a queen-size bed with luxury linens, cute antique love seat, movable dining table (you can easily set it outside), along with a mini-fridge, microwave, sink, Koerig coffee pot, and a foldable chair. The antique side bar is stocked with plates, glasses, and silverware and there is a charcoal grill and an open fire pit in case you want to cook that way (the Cedar Bungalow does NOT have a kitchen) and there are LOTS of great spots to eat in Boerne and/or Bandera!

Guest access
The Cedar Cottage is it's own small compound, away from the other guests, but other guests can see your firepit and chairs from afar unless you pull both back which you can do (we set them for optimum hill top beauty views). There is sharing of space only if you choose to add in the optional artisan breakfast ($10pp) because in this case you'd walk the stone pathway in across the Guest House's outdoor area to reach your hosts deck where breakfast is served al fresco (unless too cold or raining). Otherwise we think you'll feel very far away from all the world...

Bella Green has several buildings on the property - your hosts home (they live in the main house), the Guesthouse, found to the right of the main house, the Cedar Cottage found several hundred feet away from the Guesthouse, and the Glamping tent to the left of the host's home. The hot tub and outdoor bathroom are both totally out of sight to the other rental.

Each rental space only allows a maximum of two guests (no noisy parties!) and each has their own private outdoor areas with individual fire pits.

The "common space" is the host's deck, which is where your delicious artisan breakfast (payable by cash, directly to your hosts when on site) is served daily al fresco when the weather is nice (most days!) under the trees unless it is too cold or raining and then we bring it to you.

Also the spa room is used by guests by appointment only (maximum 2 session/day) payable to your hosts and with a discount for cash payment.

Other things to note:
- FIRE PIT AREA - Your private outdoor fire pit area comes with chairs plus free firewood, lighter and fire-starter fat wood. ALWAYS keep the top spark screen on an open fire.
- HOT TUB - Please ALWAYS keep the heat on (set between 100-102 degrees) and do not turn it off when you go to bed and/or leave. These are very slow to heat up (2-3 degrees per hour). Do not use if pregnant, ill, or with excessive alcohol.
- EXERCISE OPTIONS - There are plenty of hilly neighborhood streets to walk if you like and/or yoga mats to borrow if you ask!
- READING MATERIAL - Just outside our front gate is our "Little Free Library" box where you are invited to TAKE any book you like! Please note: The wellness library resource books are for borrowing only while on the property. You can keep any book from the library box our front.
~ SPA SERVICES: Temporarily not available due to my ankle break. When available again, the cost is $75/hour ($5 discount with cash payment) and it paid directly to your your host, Karen, who is a licensed massage therapist with over 40+ years of experience. Please let us know, at your time of reservation if you will be wanting to add in massage,as we offer a maximum of two appointments per day.
- TINY SPACES TOUR - if any of our other cool spaces (Glamping tent and Guesthouse) are not yet occupied when you arrive, or if they are empty at check-out time, we are happy to give you a tour of these unique spaces on property.

Other things to note
Please know this is a rural property and any walking is at your own risk. Our hills are steep and rocky! Also there may be deer, rabbits, daddy long leg spiders, Texas tree lizards, porcupines, fireflies and/or other assorted critters in or on the property.

Bella Green makes a great central spot for exploring our sister cities, the greater hill country area, or you may opt to simply stay put and make it a STAY-cation.

Check in is anytime after 3:00 pm and before 10pm. We encourage you to get here before sunset as they are often spectacular! Check out time is Noon for all guests. GPS generally does a fine job, but if it suggests you drive down Bump Gate Road, CALL US. That route no longer works to get here.

Pipe Creek is a quiet town, with little in the way of a downtown area, yet we do have a lovely a farm-to-table restaurant called BACKYARD BISTRO (tucked behind an antique store) for those looking for good food that is close - open on Thursday-Sunday only.

Mike and Karen Goins, along with their rescue Cockapoo, Sadie, welcome you to their beautiful hilltop property they lovingly call "Bella" (Beautiful in Italian) and "Green" (because of the green hills, and because it is eco-friendly). Mike is a retired college English and Creative Writing professor, a gifted writer (see his latest (Email hidden by Airbnb) avid reader and a Texas native. Karen, is a creative soul who embraces life and loves all people! She was a Communications/Entrepreneurship professor, former wellness director (educating with a holistic bent), and a long time licensed massage therapist. She grew up in the Chicago suburbs and enjoyed the Big City until she moved to Texas at the age of 26. Together, they launched and published a "healthy living" magazine, Natural Awakenings, in San Antonio which supported, linked and educated on everything Healthy, well and green! Since formally retiring in 2019, they now welcome ALL to their little slice of heaven on Earth, and strive to make their guest's stay "just what the guest wants/needs"...whether that be total privacy, a wellness focused stay or guest directed chats over the breakfast table.
