Interaction with Guests
We love to host so often we invite our guests to share wine with us and if they so wish, share dinner! I am very happy to cook an Indian meal for a very reasonable price. For enthusiastic cooks I can also teach them home Indian cooking.
Our neighbourhood is leafy and safe. We are very central so access to public transport is easy. We are only 30 minutes from Central London. We are also very close to Westfield centre which has the largest shopping mall in Europe so shopaholics can have fun. Wanstead has many cafes, wine bars, restaurants and pubs. There is a very beautiful park just a few yards from our house which is lovely for a jog or a stroll. The local golf course is not too far away.
Parking is free and most days plenty of it. There are many links to the public transport network. The London City airport is close and travelling from London Stansted is also very easy, either by coach or by train.

The hosts reside on the basement floor. Smoking only permitted outside.
Accueil très sympathique. Appartement nickel et très mignon. Parfaitement propre.
Toutefois, un peu bruyant concernant les chambres qui donnent sur la rue (mais c'est supportable). Et un peu loin du centre.
Je recommande malgré tout vivement ce logement.
Kalpna was very welcoming host. We had busy schedule in London therefore it was very convenient that she had prepared all information we needed about public transport, local stores and house rules. Rooms were clean and in good conditions. Wifi connection was perfect. Kitchen was fully equipped and in very good condition.
We had a nice stay for a few days in the house. The house is clean and spacious as described. Kalpna and her husband were very friendly and welcoming to us. We enjoyed having dinner with them and the Indian food which Klapna cooked was very delicious. We had a great time!
Wonderful host who is extremely helpful and a great cook (she cooked some traditional Indian food for us one night during our stay (at a very small cost). Outstanding accommodation with lots of room and very clean. Thank you so much for making our stay in London so good.
We really enjoyed our stay. The flat is spacious abound comfortable. It is centrally located and accessible to bus and tube. We would stay here again when coming back to London.
One thing, it says laundry, but it is not accessible by guests. Host will do laundry at a cost.
Have to admit I had fairly high hopes for our stay at Kalpnas's place - which she and her husband managed to not only meet but exceed by leaps and bounds! The apartment, which is actually two floors of their house, is simply magnificent, only exceeded by our hosts hospitality. Especially having dinner with the two of them on one of the nights was a truly memorable experience which my buddy and I did absolutely enjoy, from the simply delicious food to the engaging conversations we had.
Kalpna helped when we asked for it, otherwise left us alone without question. Maybe this is not the place to go if you want absolute 100% privacy since you are, after all, based in your hosts' house, but if travelling for you is as it is for us a means to also get into contact with interesting locals, this simply can't be beat. And to boot, Wanstead is a truly remarkable little gem of a suburb with a slew of recommendable options, be that pubs, restaurants or shops for self-catering.
Next time I'll come to London, I know where to stay for sure if I get the option! Thank you very much, Kalpna!
Hey Volker you are amazing. What a magnificent review. Thank you so much.
Both Shakeel and I very much enjoyed your company and Alex is just charming. Thank you for asking me to cook for you. It was indeed a pleasure.
We are already looking forward to seeing again.
With warm regards
This traditional English house is very nice, clean and really comfortable. The appliances in the kitchen are new and efficient. The beds are very comfortable and the hobby room is charming with pool table and large screen television. There is a stair from first and second floor.
The bus stop is very near to take the subway that connects all areas of London. Public transport is super efficient.
It was a great vacation for me , my friend Alessandra , our husbands and my sixteen year old son for the first time we visited the city.
Not far from house, in the evening , we had dinner in an elegant English pub ' The George' , but beware, no later than 9 pm because after this hour, minors (young people) can not enter.
Kalpna and her husband are friendly and helpful. We plan to return them for longer stays.
Cinzia thank you so much for your lovely review. Much appreciated. My husband, Shakeel and I look forward to seeing you again and share wine with you!! Thank you for your invite. We hope we can visit you in Rome. We look forward to seeing your son soon.
Till next time,
