Enjoy the misty mornings on the veranda of this lovely family home near Kandy.
Price is for a double bedroom with attached bathroom.
Dissanayake's has one room upstairs and one downstairs and lies next to another house where your hosts, the Dissanayake’s, live with their children. It’s not a big house, but it has a nice little living room and even a kitchen for you to use. The home’s lush green surroundings can be enjoyed from your armchair on the veranda.
Mr. Dissanayake has been working in tourism for a long time and can take you on tours around Kandy. The lady of the house is a stay-at-home mom who can prepare nice local dishes upon request.
Neverbeen offers a wide variety of rare homes off the beaten track, from fisherman's huts and tree houses to heritage homes and tea estates. Our team hand-picks and visits every home and meet all hosts to make ensure guests have a positively memorable stay in places they've never been.
We provide travellers and home owners in challenging locations with access to one another, by offering communication services, online marketing services and tourism training, so that locals can make a living off their home and travellers can get to stay in places they have never been.
As such, Neverbeen works for a world in which everyone has the chance to earn income by renting out their home, regardless of language, internet access and tourism experience.
In Sri Lanka, Dishan manages our growing group of homes in cooperation with our scouts, while Rohan creates listings and provides service. In Amsterdam, Marten works out international growth plans. Our team of in-house programmers is constantly developing the platform itself and Ernst & Young does our finances.
The first country we're active in is Sri Lanka, a beautiful country with many undiscovered places to stay. Due to it recently having opened up to tourism after decades of conflict, it is a great place to start and pilot the Neverbeen concept. We plan to expand to ten countries before the end of 2017.
